So alright, TF2 news is starting to break, soon every little scrap of information is gonna leak out from locations to the errie resemblance a skid mark in Don Murphy's Boxers has to Wreck-Garr.
Anyhow, you get my point.
I understand alot of people want this knowledge, and can't wait for the next bit of information, and that's cool. If that works for you, man go for it.
However, I don't like spoilers, even old ones. I remember initial leaked pics of Optimus and whoever had a spoiler block on the front page. Then the warning turned to the picture.
I saw nearly the whole movie just by logging on long before it hit the theaters!
Well, here's my thing. TF2 is in the works, news is gonna fly, and let it! Just keep a nondiscript thumb for things like the front page, that don't hinder your knowing, or spoil my veiwing.
Is it to much to ask?

i see you point and i don't like spoilers either but with the first movie the stuff that got leaked was the only thing that kept me invalved enough to see the movie.
In the example i was the one in my group that if anyone asks about a movie im suposed to know.
Anyway...

See, I'd be involved reguardless, but that won't change the fact that I don't wanna see something till it's ready to be scene.
Why cheat myself?

Liege, that's all well and good but just try to avoid anything or any post regarding the new movie then.
It will be tough yes but any new post will have TF2 or hopefully something to that effect in the title so just avoid those posts then.
Despite the fact I pretty much saw all the designs and read nearly the entire script or at least an over view of it that did not ruin the movie for me because there were a large number of changes made from first design to the final versions.
Also, try to consider the fact that it might not be official news either because to be honest what have we seen so far ? the autobots being hauled around on vehicles and some recent pics of a nearly deserted old factory or complex of some type which may or may not make it in to the final cut of the film and it tells us nothing of what that scene is.

Yes....maybe you should lay off the forums. I did it. Seriously before TF1 hit the theaters I stayed off these sites, because I really wanted to see the flick though virgin eyes. Then after 3 viewings I returned. Don't take this the wrong way...just advice. Trying to end spoilers here is like trying avoid candy on Halloween

OK, you logged on today, yoyu saw 2 TF2 thumbs on the front page. That tipped you off to movie news.
You chose to look, I chose to skip. Alls well
2 weeks from now, the TF2 Thumbs are replaced with specifc pics and designes with a tilte explaining.
Is that fair to the guy who skipped cause he's logging on for toy news or something?
Now don't get me wrong, I fully respect the effort that members and staff put into making this site awesome. I'm just wondering if a standarized thumb or bullet can help make keeping inadvertant spoilers to a minimum?

That's why there is a toy haul thread...I've been in there twice ever and know that.
As far as fairness goes well as the omnipotent "Q" on Star Trek TNG said "Oh for shame...haven't you learned by now that this shall in fact be COMPLETELY UNFAIR !!!"

Yea please seibertron and crew, don't put spoilers in the headlines!
I mean come one, I did enjoy the Movie, but I would of had more fun if I hadn't known who dies, what happens when and stuff like that.
The moment I see a spoiler in the news headline, I'll leave this site for the summer.

How about:
Breaking News: More info on Movie, New Characters announced.
and not:
Breaking News: Megatron dies after kicking Primes ASS and ripping Jazz in two pieces!
I mean it uses up less time to write and lets me enjoy a Movie without totally ruining it.

Then look at the topics about the new Animated cartoon, they tell you which character shows up and all.

People breath...
Again, as I've been saying, post whatever information you like, just don't give it away in the title and thumbs.
As it was said, "New TF2 Cast Information" fine, click the link if you wanna read it.
I'm just saying alot of us might not wanna know Megan Fox will be doing keg stands till we pay for a ticket.
And leave it that way.
I'm not looking to censor anything, I'm just looking to not now about it.
As for the idea of not looking at anything, well why, the movie is just one part of the various fields TFs are involved in.
If someone asked for a curtiousy like this in say Toys, I wouldn't have a problem oblidging that.

It's not that easy, when the Spoilers are in the news headlines, the thread titles, and big ol' pictures on the front of the site where you can't not see them.
I like spoilers, but I respect anyone who doesn't want them which is why I make use of Spoiler Boxes.

well it is just my opinon that i think that they have done a pretty good job Keeping it low key.
The spoilers are there on every site because people wnat to be in the loop this stuff about mike bay wanting to keep it under wraps i feel is just a way to sell more tickets but honestly even if i knew the ending right know I WOULD STILL GO TO SEE IT BECAUSE IT IS FLIPPEN AWESOME.

No they haven't. Not long ago there was a big red banner at the top of every page that announced a character that was going to appear in TF2. Then there's the fact that people put the spoiler itself in the title of each thread.

Here's an example, front paged, posted or the first time 9:45ish, 5.30.08...
viewtopic.php?t=40161I didn't read the article(don't wanna be a hypocrit), but that titles pretty specific of topic.
True or not, would "TF2, a suprize return!?!" , be to much to ask?
Then let said thread carry on filled with all the coments people may add to it, while folks like me are not looking at it cause of all the crap I been saying...

Maybe mocking, but could a voice be heard?
"Transformers the Movie 2: Could it be true??? He's BACK!!! NEW!"
Latest movie news title with a nondescript thumb
Does it sound exciting!?!
YES
Can you open the link!?!
Well if it was set up right, YES
Do I know what it is!?!
NOPE
So why don't that work?

Wait. Let me see if I have this straight. You're upset about coming to a website you know is going to be riddled with TF2 spoiler information before you even come here (just as it was before the first movie was released, mind you) and you're worried about getting spoiled? Oh dearie me.
I think you should speak directly to the mods about moderating things such as spoilers in thread titles and on the front page - they're the ones who will set the spoiler warnings in motion after all, if anyone - rather than just crying to the board as a whole.
Just a suggestion, after all.

And believe me, I agree with the need for generic spoilers in thread titles too.

Or I could run a thread and see if it gets enough suport to warrent tapping a MODs shoulder on the topic.
To which, thank you for your suport
