*Bay and LaBeouf confirm the Fallen is a separate character. The Fallen was described by Bay as "Apocalyptic"
*Egyptian hieroglyphics, turn out to be depictions of Transformers who visited Earth before the pyramids were built.
*Bay claims Megatron is not coming back and the tank is just a new toy.
*Around 40 robots.
*Budget is $200 million.
*Ramon Rodriguez is the one holding on for dear life to a pole while cars are flung.
*Devastator appears at the pyramid, he's probably 50 feet tall because that's the height of the camera crane they used on location.

Grabbed this image from Alienboy at TFW, but not sure where he got it.

You can clearly see Blackout, Scorponok and Starscream which supports Point #2...

*Egyptian hieroglyphics, turn out to be depictions of Transformers who visited Earth before the pyramids were built.

Although, how they have modern alt modes in an Egyptian hieroglyph is beyond me. That's why I'm not sure if Alienbot made this, or got it from the magazine.

Those are actual real-life hieroglypics with erosion that look like modern vehicles. See here:

I have a hunch Bay watched Armada. The Egyptian Hyrogliphics are of Transformers? Armada.
Jetfire combines with optimus? Armada.
Megs is a tank? Armada

Megatron was a tank long before Aramada...

That's only on the technicality that Megatron could no longer be a gun. Though why we couldn't turn him into something like G1 Galvatron or Shockwave in some turret/laser gun is beyond me.

Ahh ok. More reasons for me to never finish Armada.

A gun was a terrible idea to begin with!

Anyway, has anyone thought that when he says Megatron isn't in it, that maybe Galvatron is instead?

Naw I don't think Bay would think of that, I mean on a creative scale he did good but sometimes killing the main bad guy and not having him return in an old or even a new form is a dumb idea.

Though as long as they don't pull a Galactus or something, by having the new villain hide behind a CGI cloud.

And even more thinking that's why Spider-Man was a bad movie trilogy. I know in this day it's a matter of realism and kinda annoying to have the same villains coming back but the way those movies go it's like he won't have anyone to fight. Not to mention they pushed too much on the Green Goblin being the main villain/rival in all three movies.

If Megatron isn't in the new movie, and the tank is a new character, then how did we get this?

http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ers/14783/

Yes, I know... it's a news item from this website. But still, that's a package made by Hasbro. Why would Hasbro give us a FAB Megatron, in a new tank mode, if he wasn't gonna show up? I can understand Bay's use of the misinformation stuff, trying to keep the movie secret and all, but I think he needs to research better, otherwise he might just look like an @$$...

The same reason that we got FAB Ramjet and Voyager Thundercracker from the first movie line, to sell toys!!! It's all about the benjamins!!

The bit about the hieroglyphs was fascinating...thanks for the link Griffin. Always like to learn a little more about history...

40 bots? That's more than was in the original line release back in 1984! Awesome stuff!

No Megatron...bummer. I'd wager we see him revived though at the end of the movie just to lead to TF3.

An actual Fallen character huh? Interesting. Apocolyptic? That sounds more like Unicron than anything.

I'm hyped. Show me a teaser trailer and I'll be ready to rock.

This will most probably not be 100% true.
Empire is an awesome mag but they lied a bit in their last exclusive article on the first TF movie. In that article they stated Megatron transformed into a top secret concept stealth jet developed by the US Air Force. And we all know how that turned out.

I'm sorry, but I have to speak on this subject.

If you think this is a 5000 year old typo, you haven't studied your ancient cultures thoroughly enough.

GPG, Why doesn't your article explain the extra lines and shapes seen connecting the eroded message to the message added later to create this illusion of modern tech?

Answer: Science is based on empirical evidence. There is no empirical evidence to support ancient tech. Therefore science must dictate that these inscriptions are an error of some sort. So they make something up that sounds logical.

I have been studying ancient cultures for over 15 years now. I have been to Giza, ABYDOS, Babylon, Lebanon, Jerusalem, and Mt. Sinai.

I have seen these things with my own eyes, I have spoke to experts with more time on the subject then I have been alive.

The gods were here, accomplished their mission [mostly], packed up shop and left [after inadvertently leveling the ancient nation of Sumer].

Read a Book, visit a museum, go on a trip... But don't trust the internet. Anyone can post anything on the internet without proofreading or fact checking.
