Michael Bay has just posted this up on SFTE in the last few minutes

Okay it's time to turn up the heat on Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen. We've waited low in the weeds letting all the summer movies get their stuff out. We've seen the great year end movies, and watched the upcoming clips of the upcoming summer fare. We've seen certain movies coming out even try to duplicate Transformer size robots in their ads. Please, come on.

Well, I promise you we will rock your world with Transformers 2. The fans wanted ROBOTS KICKING ASS - well we got it. Today we are releasing the teaser poster and soon the onslaught will continue with a steady drum beat until June 26th.

I'll keep you informed.

Bay

Do you think they're using words like the Fallen and onslaught to tease us? Next we'll hear that it'll be prowling the theaters and making shockwaves this summer.

Transformers Movie director Michael Bay has just left a message on his Shoot for the Edit Forums regarding Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the follow-up to the 2007 blockbuster film.

Bay confirms that the Revenge of the Fallen teaser poster was, as reported earlier released today, and he seems to suggest that the marketing build-up for the film will now commence. A date for a potential teaser trailer has not been set yet.

Yeah you have it and you over did it. Just from what we've seen so far you really over done it. Wanting more doesnt mean throwing every aspect of the TF universe into a 2 hour movie. We also wanted a story (a real story not some BS about a kid trying to get laid and buying a car) and Decepticons not being there just to be cannon foder but we've heard nothing about that. I hate this guy.

No, we wanted more robots, less Shia LeBeouf/army guys. You added the KICKING ASS part yourself.

We wanted to recognize characters from our childhood. You didn't get that.

We wanted Bumblebee, not Hotshot. You didn't get that.

We wanted a quality film with a story. You didn't get that.

I can't stand this guy. Who does he think he is?

A director of one of the best action movies/ love stories of all time...?
/sarcasm

Even though the first movie raped my childhood, I'm wanting to see this one and hope that it is at least 1/1000 better than the first movie. But then again, this is Michael Bay we're stuck with directing, hell if he had his way, Transformers 2 would just be two-and-a-half-hours of explosions of all kinds from bottle rockets and firecrackers to nuclear blasts; with no robots, no people, and most importantly (to him at least) no plot.

If you think the first one raped your childhood then bend over some more because everything you knew and loved as a child is gonna get made into a movie over the next couple years. If ppl got so raped with the first tformers, i can imagine if i go to a monopoly forum and see what they are saying.

I can't wait for connect four: the movie in 2012.

WHoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo

First, I'm a geewunner-BW fan, but The Movie wasn't the first "rape". All the japanese cartoons since RID *brrrr...* were nails in the old-style G1 coffin**, yet the movie took a lot of old fans back to the roots because they liked it (in my country alone I can't go to a hobby shop without some people remembering their old hobby, despite the fact that we had only the comic and the toys).

**:And, despite all odds, Hasbro resurrected G1 on a separate line: Animated, with all it's small nods, and the Classic/Universe line...

I just had a weird thought. Didn't Strawberry Shortcake get an update, I wonder if there are Strawberry Shortcake fans in their 30's complaining that their childhood has been raped?

Edit: I just looked it up and people are complaining about the changes.
