IGN has interviewed Roberto Orci one of the screen writers for Transformers Revenge of The Fallen. In this interview he confirms two rumours about the characters and hints at new visuals of the movie.
As this contains spoilers of a kind please don't proceed reading this if you do not want to be spoilt about the characters.

Orci: So I said Ravage... maybe?

IGN: Pretty much, yeah.

Orci: [As if giving a big reveal] Ravage!

IGN: [Laughs] Damn, I should have told you that you said Ravage for sure!

Orci: Hmm… I'll give you an exclusive here. There is a Pretender. I'm going to get killed for saying that.

Lol, yeah he's really going to get in big trouble for telling us something we already know.

Ravage we had a concept drawing for... with the Megatron robot mode. It was said that megs wasn't in the movie, so the ravage concept art could of been an unused design.

The Pretender was theory and rumor, now we know it is fact... I just hope the shell isn't an "Epi-metic-poly-alloy... [insert dumb look on John's face] Liquid Metal"

The whole Bayformers franchise is beginning to look like a campaign to convince people that Energon wasn't that bad after all and as it will be released on my birthday my present to myself will be sitting in a dark corner gently sobbing at the darkness contained in man's heart...

Frak. Hopefully ill get a movie pass by the time this comes out so i dont ave to waste money to go see it. Ill be wasting my time but at least itll be free. And if i dont bit torrent here i come.

i know it sounds weird but is it possible that the pretender is ravage ???? i myself doubt it but just a guess ...

im just wondering how the hell it all fits into the story.

maybe its connected to that video a while back someone took from their dorm in a school with people running away from apparently a young womam.

weird part for me will be seeing this and not thinking about "home and away "

still the more that gets out the more intriguing all this is becoming. be interesting to see how they handle the character leaving their shell. theres potential there for it to be really creepy or scary.

I had a hunch Alice was a pretender. I think someone else mentioned they thought it was Ravage...I agree with them. Ravage could be described as a "brother" bot to Frenzy. That type of build could easily receive an organic shell and not be sized wrong for human interaction. It also would explain the "hair" on the Frenzy-like puppet from the video that was leaked ages ago. (can someone help me out on a location for this vid?)

Oh, BTW, can you imagine being pinned to a bed by Isabel Lucas? WOOHOO!

the pretneder looks very convincing to be sure in the film when we saw that clip of the 3 actors rununig and the woman in the white dress walking to the humans while everyone else runnning in fear only villians walk to the heroes while everyone cowards in fear so it has to be pretender in the white dress for sure.

Pretenders? Bludgeon maybe? Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet......

Hope not!! That would be the stupidist thing ever and it would piss of all of G1 fans!!! Orci will need bodyguards if theyre the same... Lets face it, we saw the drawing and lets face again, we saw Megatron toy so Ravage toy will be the same has is drawing so therefore, Ravage will be a feline and not a blonde chick!!!
