The MTV Movie Blog interviewed Transformers Revenge of the Fallen sponsor General Moters today. In the interview the car maker explains which of it's concept cars were used in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen and why.
As it turns out, Michael Bay personally selected concepts from GM’s design studio for the new film — a process that allowed him intimate access to some of GM’s most closely guarded plans. And that privilege was granted as a direct result of the trust he built with the company during his first “Transformers” installment.

“With the first movie, there wasn’t a whole lot of dialogue back and forth between Michael Bay and myself,” GM Vice President of Global Design Ed Wellburn told MTV News, reflecting on how GM’s relationship with Bay began. “We were building the concept in secret we didn’t want anyone to know, and he was building the movie in secret. He was looking for something special from us, and we showed him a couple of cars.”

Thank You! I was just about to report this! You DO NOT want to be hitting up folks on this site with solicitations to your stuff!
And doing it in every forum was just going way too far!

Exactly the worst are the ones that post like "OMG have seen this? this is some of the best stop motion I've ever seen!!!!1111" and what do you get by clicking the link? The most boring, crappiest stop motion you've ever seen.

Oh, I know the feeling. Spam drives me nuts too.

Here's a link to all his posts with that clip. I already reported two of them, but once I realized how many he's done, I figured it'd be easier just to report them all at once.

Harshest part was that I had posted on so many threads in the last day and then this guy comes along on my coat-tails and drops his shameless plug which fills my e-mail with new post notifications. My Inbox had a 0 to 60 time that left my car jealous. 8-}

On a different tangent, and more related to the topic of this thread, has anyone heard any more from our new friend GM_designer?
I was hoping that, after hearing the robot count in this movie, he could enlighten us as to whether a different GM line was being represented but not talked up as much.

"GM design" means goodbye Pontiac, Saab, Saturn and Hummer.

Guess who Saturns parent company is...

I can't exactly picture one on the big screen but on the flip side of that, it would be the one Autobot capable of withstanding a thorough butt kicking by a Decepticon. :P
It would just suck the air-bags back in, flex out the dents in the body panels and jump right back into the fight.
