Revenge of the Fallen scribe Roberto Orci has responded to more questions regarding the upcoming sequel on
TFW2005.com.The questions, given by members of the site, concerned possible voice actor selections for the character
The Fallen. Mr. Orci generously had these items to share:
Question: Hey Bob, what are your feelings towards the idea of Leonard Nimoy doing the voice of the Fallen?
Mr. Orci: Would love it. I actually talked to him about it, given the odd coincidence that he is Michael Bay's cousin through marriage, but fan outcry has also put [Frank] Welker in the running.Mr. Orci then went on to describe the difficulties of making the first film, the reason Megatron isn't renamed Galvatron and other things.
It's a real pleasure when we get the inside scoop on things in the Transformers Universe but even better when it's coming from the source. Check out the original thread on this by clicking

Nothing against Welker...I'm pulling for him to be Soundwave.
But if they can get Nimoy, they should use Nimoy.

Nimoy would be a perfect fit. He'll have that aged tint to his voice that would work really well for the Fallen. I'm not going to complain about it though if Welker gets it...that may be a perfect spot for him to bring back the voice of Megatron from the video game.

Though both are awesome, I'd choose Frank Welker!

Id rather see Nemoy since Welker is going to be Soundwave(if hes not im sure Bays house will explode. Then we'll see it in the next craptastic instalment). But then again Welker would probably think of some kick ass voice to use. Either way the movie is still going to suck.

You know there are 2 reasons I don't dare get on your case about being down on the movie...1) Your Sig. pic. kicks ass, and 2) You would probably have the same reaction as I would if someone tried to blow sunshine up your ass, which is to say it would end violently!
That measure of respect having been paid...
I have to say that I am torn about who I would pick. I'm leaning towards Nimoy but I also think that Welker should get it just because they owe him one (and the fans) for the whole Megatron thing. I'll just have to do best 2 out of 3 on the coin tosses.

I'm okay with either Nimoy or Welker. I mean, there are just so many WORSE choices out there to voice the Fallen. It all depends on how you define *evil*, really.
I mean, if you want pure unmitigated eldritch evil, here are some choices for the Fallen's voice:
Gilbert Gottfried
Vince the Sham-wow Guy
Helen Thomas (that ancient White House reporter)
Audrina Patridge
Anne Coulter
etc.
HK, but secretly pulling for David Kaye. Swoon.

Having Welker as the Fallen would be a great nod to a great voice actor. Nimoy would have greater geek-appeal. As I don't know what they have in mind for the character of the Fallen I don't know who would do the better voice. My hip response would be for Welker, since he is such an accomplished voice actor I'm sure he can find something in his repetoire to fit, where Nimoy just sounds like Nimoy.

Nimoy is easily my first choice for The Fallen, Welker should definetly be given the role of Soundwave & Ravage once more. Besides both those VA need a chance to come back properly in the TF world.

Even though I loved Nimoy as Galvatron back in the day, I think it could all go wrong. He would have recognised Hugo Weaving's voice as Megatron. Only Petter Cullen was recognizable, and ofcourse he doesn;t sound like that in real life, as this video demonstrates.
