The information states that Ravage will not be able to speak like other Transormers do, nor will any other animalistic Transformer. So I don't believe the Pretender is Ravage.
Well, assuming that the not talking part is 100% correct, I still wouldn't rule out him being a pretender.
I could see sexy, predatory, deadly woman being even scarier if you never hear her speak.
On the other hand, I thought a prior image depicted Ravage as much larger than human size, too large to compress down small enough to fit inside a fleshy shell or a hologram. I don't remember where I saw that shot though, so maybe not.

Most of these names are from The Cartoons looks like the been getting ideas from that such as Power Linking and Devestator.
A Few character never been in TF as of yet and were created soley for this movie.
What confusion?
Anyway, I hate to be Captain Obvious, but someone who at least tries to be nice might as well mention it:
Rodimus2006 wrote:People wondering who Overload is or where the name came from look at Transformers Armada towards the end of it and you will see that Overload is when Optimus Prime power links and Combines with Over Load making optimus Super Powerful it is like a Huge Cannon on his shoulders this dosent happen until the end of Armada during the Fighting with Galvatron and Unicron attacking Cybertron.
The name Overload was originally used in 1989 for a micromaster. Of course, like the Armada bot of the same name, he was an Autobot, so the relevance to the movie character is... nil?
Jolt is from Transformers Armada and also Cybertron he is diffrent in both shows one he was a Minicon who power linked with Hot Shot.
2. He was the Leader of the Mini-Con team and also a intellegence officer gathering info on the Seal of Antlantis and the Omega Lock located on Earth.
The first use of the name Jolt was for one of four laser-rods released for Generation 2 in 1994 (the others being Volt, Electro, and Sizzle). I believe the same character was released as a Wal-Mart exclusive redeco of Cybertron Crosswise(?). He was a Decepticon though, so again, probably no relevance to the movie character. Also his alternate mode was a lot cooler.
the Fallen he was never in a Cartoon Series but he was in fact in the IDW comics and he is one of the Acients from the Beginning of Time and also one of the Original 13 transformers.
The Fallen's only other appearance (AFAIK) has been in Dreamwave's War Within: Dark Ages series. I don't believe that he has appeared in any IDW comics.
Jetfire has been widely used in a bunch of TF shows he and Optimus will be combing or Power Linking in the movie most likely to combat the Fallen or Devestator but unkown which style it will be like Jet-Convoy unkown I say it will be slightly diffrent cause of the way the bots diffrent from the animated counterparts.
Jetfire's first appearance on screen was in the first season of G1 (though he was called Skyfire), where he was Starscream's friend until he was stranded on Earth. In the original Marvel comics he was a Decepticon drone until Buster Witwicky reprogrammed him, and in the much later DW comics, he was a Decepticon that switched sides. Given the nature of the character described for the movie, it seems that he has slightly more in common with these uses of the name than the uses presented in Armada (similar only in that he combined with Optimus), Energon (similar only in that he could combine with someone), or Cybertron (similar only in that... well, not really similar at all).
Chromia is a a new character
Chromia appeared in one episode of the first season of the original series along with Elita-1, Firestar, and Moonracer. I don't recall if there have been any American toys released with the name, but I believe there have been some Japanese ones.
The Doctor is a new Character I dont think that is his real name maybe a code-name and they havent released his real name as of yet.
I think this character will be a Perceptor type character really intellegent.
We already saw this character in package, labeled as "Scalpel". Could be the articles are wrong about his name, but I have a feeling "The Doctor" will be a nickname used on screen (perhaps by the humans) or a situation similar to the last movie's Devastator/Brawl contradiction.
I doubt that the torture master will be all that similar to Perceptor, unless we're talking Shattered-Glass Universe.
Skids is a new Character also
The character is probably as new as Mudflap,
but the name was used in G1. The only noteworthy thing about him is, IIRC, in the G1 comics he trapped Ravage at the bottom of a well, and left him there for a long, long, long time.
