I've being hearing rumors for weeks now on the net that Leonard Nimoy will be returing to the world of transformers as the voice of the Fallen, personal I think this would be a great thing, but can any one confirm?

Orci talks about Nimoy

And you, Bob, were quoted as saying you were trying to get Leonard Nimoy to do the Fallen?
Orci: He originally was the voice in the animated movie, and at one of the conventions, Alex and I actually spoke to him about it, and he's like, "Yeah, I'd be open to that." But it'll be Michael's decision.

Have you talked with Michael about that?

Orci Oh, sure. ... He's like, "Hmm." And we're like, "You know you're cousins, right?" [Nimoy's wife is Michael Bay's cousin.]

Nimoy talks directly about voicing The Fallen

There have been a lot of rumors flying around about you possibly doing a voice for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Can you clarify what's happening or not happening?

Nimoy: I have not been contacted about Transformers 2. I'm hearing some buzz about Michael Bay, who happens to be my wife's cousin. And I did, of course, do a voice for Transformers [as the voice of Galvatron in the animated Transformers: The Movie] many years ago, but I have not been contacted about doing this Transformers movie.

Supposedly they're thinking of you as the voice of The Fallen.

Nimoy: That's what I'm hearing. I'm hearing some buzz about that, but I haven't had a phone call yet from either Michael Bay or my agent. And they certainly know how to reach me. I'm not saying yes or no; I just haven't heard anything.

Both interviews are from in the last two weeks, so he is still as yet unconfirmed. Unless someone can show otherwise.

I never knew this...I hope he does it. If for nothing else, then the nod to Galvatron back in the day. But Nimoy has a good voice for ominous evil anyway.

My concern is that they will do to him what they did to Hugo Weaving and make his voice nigh-unrecognizable

If this is true, that would be awesome.

With all the previews overseas, has there been any confirmation of Leonard Nimoy in the movie?

I thought that it's been confirmed that Tony Todd is voicing The Fallen...

No reports of any other roles that he may be involved in then?

By Primus you are correct. I only feel as if Prime's voice is unique (in sound quality) and has depth to it in his words and inflections, everyone else's voice just seem to weakly co-sign whatever is going on onscreen.... :-x
