After reading the novel a while back I started thinking how great it would have been to see it at the cinema rather than what we actually got. I mean just read it, its got cold war thrills, space stand-offs, a gun fight with the frozen Megatron, n other cool stuff.
Anyways, I would at least like to see it as a comic, or even a mini TV series. Can't wait to read the new novel prequel though.

If they made a movie for Ghost of Yesterday, then they should do a Star wars prequel saga in my opinion...
Wouldn't be fair to jump into that story without going back to cybertron and giving some background, not to mention introducing different character types like the quintessions or Kremzeek

lol.

Thats what I think the next game should be like. Either like the Battlefront sereies, just with out vehicles becasue of the alt-modes, or a full blown Cybertron set FPS war with linear missions. All they'd have to do is come up with some good character skins and models. And they woudn't need to worry about size reletivity as in the movie game.

Ghosts of Yesterday was a good read, and a movie would work. Just don't let Bay direct it. I've already seen Armageddon.

I don't think we have to worry about Bay directing something like "Ghosts", there just aren't enough...explosive...oppurtunities in it for him. After the 3rd film I don't see him continuing with the franchise anyway. I think he's getting burned out and doesn't want to get stuck in the role of being that "Transformer" guy. Spielberg, however, being a more family oriented type of guy, I could see taking the books and either giving a prequel treatment to Ghosts of Yesterday or taking all of the prequel and filler books (you know there's more coming) and turning them into TV specials or a weekly series.
That would actually be something that would go over well with the new Hasbro/Discovery chanel that is in the works. Ghosts of Yesterday could even be done on this but in a 3 part run. It's a good way to not have to worry about replacing or finding suitable matches for the current human actors since the stories will have nothing to do with Sam or Mikela anyway.
Let's just hope Peter Cullen has no plans to retire any time soon...

Spielberg is to family orientated, I absolutlet hate E.T., but Close Encounters is awsome though. I've had enougth family milarky from the Unicron trilogy.

I'm just saying that he would be the best guy to convince that a project like this, if not done for the big screen, should be pitched to Hasbro/Discovery. He has the business sense and decency to not dumb the show down like the A/E/C trilogy. He was as stunned as everyone as to the ferocity of the fans when the Movie came out so I really don't think he's going to screw with it that much.
He'll probably do just enough "toning down" to get an hour long episode into a prime-time slot to compete with the major networks line-ups and give what would otherwise be a categorically "childrens" channel a much larger base of viewers to work with. Discovery, Hasbro and Dreamworks all in collaboration is one freight train I sure as hell wouldn't want to compete against.

Both of those were a giant waste of my time, even when I was a kid.

I'd let Joss Whedon handle the project for a while, if he has adult supervision, I don't want another 'Firefly' disaster...
