So something was bothering me as I was rewatching the trailer. Finally figured it out.

why does Sam yell "Optiums!!" instead of "Prime!!"

I seem to remember him being called Prime more often. I feel like nobody calls him Optimus except Shia. Anybody else notice this or am I crazy?

He and Sam are on a first name basis.

I thought all the "good guys" called him Optimus in the movie. I know Jazz refers to him as Optimus after Sector 7 takes BB. Megatron was the only one that called him Prime, and that was only once.

I put it down to Sam maybe assuming that's his first name. You don't call your buddies by THEIR last names, do ya? Maybe unless you're in the military, but what would I know?
