"Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" could open with a high of $175M for its 5-day opening from Wednesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 28, according to studio sources cited by DeadlineHollywood.com.

Nikki Finke states on his news blog that rival studios to Paramount are expecting Transformers Revenge of The Fallen to make up to $175 million during it's first 5 days of screening.

Well, the first film made $155 mil in the first week, from Monday to Sunday. And it came out over July 4th. I think this movie will match that or may exceed it by a few million, but probably not 20. As long as it stomps Terminator to shut that asshole McG up.

Agreed. Especially considering that this time around they don't have as strong of a marketing campaign. (but to be honest, I'm kind of glad. It got a bit old seeing Bumble Bee and Prime on everything from my Burger King cup, to tooth paste caps.) But also keep in mind that the movie will be released in IMAX on opening day this time around instead of 3 weeks into the release.
