OK so I bought the DK guide to TF ROTF today and it gave a back history for the fallen which is

The fallen is NOT one of the thirten transformers like the comic version but one of the original PRIMES, albe it a imensly owerful one. He killed almost all of his fellow Primes and in doing so changed his name to the Fallen.

he is one of the 13 primes.

While I am perfectly alright with the movies differing from the comics and so on, I think that's a slightly lame backstory. I understand that was the Cliffs notes version, but it sounds kinda weak.

From what I've heard...

He was oen of the original 13 Transformers created by the AllSpark, so they could sap stars to re-power the AllSpark, using the Matrix. The Fallen wanted that power for himself, and threatened to blow up Earth. He was locked in some kind of sub-space sarcophagus, and was later able to influence Megatron into starting the Decepticons (The Decepticon insignia is based on the murky image of the Fallen's face).

This, of course, someone contradicts Hasbro's policy on one Unicron/One Primus/One set of the Original 13.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter all that much, because the Fallen will only be in the movie for about 20 minutes, if that, so he's a minor character in the end, more like a plot device than anything.

I know that the book stated he was an original prime. That him and the other 12 created energon with the great machine by devouring unpopulated star systems. Then he turned evil and wanted to devour the SOL system but it was populated and thus started a war on earth. Where one of the last surviving primes built a shelter basically out of the other primes and sacrificed himself to stay inside with the matrix and seal it. Thus hiding the matrix from the fallen.

That a young warrior will rise through the ranks and light our darkest hour? No, wait...

I didnt think it was just jetfire. I thought that there was a couple of bots that had the power to warp or whatever its called. Also a few with the knowledge. Unless it said that somewhere else. Ive only read the ADF books.
