IGN Reviews ROTF UK

IGN.Com has posted a review of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It contains only slight spoilers (not much new for those who have been keeping up with spoilers), but gives some interesting tidbits concerning the Witwicky parents. Somewhat disappointing is that while IGN seems to find this movie better than the first, they still only gave it 3 out of 5 stars.

Nice review. And not too spoilerific either.

Well, the only real spoilers for me were the bit about Sam's mother, and the placement of the forest fight in the film.

What a bitch. Movie too long for you? Too much robot on robot action? Pussy! The more the better I say. Or, as a wise man once said, "Bring it!"

3 out of 5 stars only? "Less is more"? NONSENSE, I could sit through an entire Bay movie with a grin on my face! Granted, M. Bay does overdo the special effects once in a while but he pulls them off nicely and from the mouth of the review it sounds that he's refined his explosion-direction skills even more - allright, I really can't wait for ROTF!

Oh, and the reviewer is obviously not a Transformers fan. I call for redoing the review with someone more Transformers-oriented.

Indeed good sir. So the Optimus vs. 3 is the best scene huh? Cant say that surprises me I was expecting it to be pretty epic. Although a little wierd that Optimus has gotten that much better in two years. Thousands of years of experience and Megatron can still beat him, but two years later he can take on Megs plus two? Kind of odd. But I do like Prime when he is badass so it can only be fun.

He was training with Animated Prowl.

The reviewer didn't remember the small subtitle writing underneath the original TransFormers Logo: More than Meets the Eye.....

Making this movie as long as possible justifies that motto. :-B

Omg, that bit with Sam's Mom eating marijuana is retarded. Ugh. Bay is so damn juvenile. I think this movie will be awesome, but its hard to defend Bay's Transformers to non-fans with scenes like someone eating pot, or talking about masturbating, or Bumblebee peeing on someone, or any other stupid college humor like that. This isn't American Pie.

The other scenes mentioned sound awesome, but Im already dreading the stupid humor that will be in this. That's not really doing the Transformers brand any kind of service to include that crap. Or maybe I should blame the writers, I dunno, but I wish they'd take the material a little more seriously than that.

Meh, that kind of humor puts a smile on my face, but whatev. Disney on the other hand..... RETARDED! Dad put Beverly Hills Chiniluawhateverthe@#$%thenameis!, that was RETARDED... Disney has RETARDED humor for little R-- I'll stop there.

Other topic....

IGN, "The Company That Their Employees Are All Family Oriented And Kissbutt To Pixar & Disney."

I don't like Professional Reviewers, and now that I think about it... Some of the amature and non professional reviewers are becomming the snobbish Pro-Reviewers that are out there.

What you guys need to do is step back and remember that these Movies are not JUST for TF Fans in your particular age range. The first one pulled in people from target groups that, while hoped for were not really expected. If this was only for Hardcore fans, Star Trek would kick our collective butt in the box office. If there are elements of EVERYTHING more people will want to see it, the numbers will skyrocket and the ranks of our fandom will swell with all the new innocent minds we can manip...er, I mean all the fine, upstanding people we can convert.

As for the Pro-Reviewers opinion...pay no attention to the "Pros". Personally, I almost always do the opposite of what they recommend. A few times a year they may get something "right" but that's rare. They get paid to find something to bitch about and ultimately it really is just 1 persons own opinion. The only real pre-requisite for the job is working vocal chords, an ass that can endure up to 3 hours of sitting and a love of over-priced popcorn.

You don't know Transformer's fandom. We believe the world is divided in Autobots and Decepticons and we can justify a war that goes on for four million years :-B :D

The reviewer keeps saying how long TF2 is....it does not seem that long. The fight in the woods is DEFINITELY one of the highlights!! Way better than that lame fight in Mission City. Cybertron has some better visuals as the reviewer stated. I would not say that length of the movie is an issue, maybe that is a British thing. The movie does move fast, that is why I would tell any of you just see it once and get the DVD, but don't keep spending 9-10 bux to see it over and over again in theaters like many did for TF1. Its not worth 50-60 bux. IMO

We try to keep it a little less...outwardly colorful,(B.S. would have sufficed) but yeah that's the general consensus.
Over two hours long is nothing when the majority of that time will be spent on the edge of the seat.
If I was able to endure Empire of the Sun in 10th grade, 2 1/2 hours of RotF, even at my age now, will be a cakewalk.
