**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

Ok, so i loved Soundwave in ROTF, his voice, face etc etc. But why did we not see him come down to Earth in the finale battle?
We have seen his Bot Mode from the pics of his toy (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8f/Soundwave-robot.jpg) but why didnt we see this great bot mode in the film, and will we see him with a bigger role in TF3 now very few 'cons are alive?

Probably no need for him to or he was still relaying information to Megatron behind the scenes. They never show a real good reason. They left it to us to speculate the reasoning or leaving it until later.

well he's a comunication expert so he's prolly not really needed in battle plus the decepts had plenty of protoforms to fight.

Seeing as Soundwae is one of my fave TF's of all time, I was really dissappointed I didn't get to see him in action. I was happy that he was finally fulfilling his destiny though as an awesome robotic satellite thing. Pffft, tape deck, yeah right.

I enjoyed Soundwave in the movie. I also like Ravage as well. It would be great to see him. Megs, and Starscream side by side in the next flick.

soundwave did not not fight because he is smart. he is not a fighter he is a thinker.

I really enjoyed seeing Soundwave doing the job he is supposed to do. Spy, communicate and direct surgical strikes. I thought it kinda made him a bit sinister to be honest, having him up there all along but nobody on earth does. Thats awesome.

By the time of the final battle wasnt Soundwave fully integrated with the Earth satellite providing intel etc?

I wasnt happy with his voice at all. It in no way represented Soundwave, TF Animated did it (nearly) so I was expecting better here.

well i am pretty sure that he could withdraw from the satellite or sever connections. I highly doubt he will forever be connected to the Earth satellite.

He's the intel guy. No need for him to jump in the melee and getting torned to pieces. He was never a warrior. Beside, he's way more usefull to the decepticon up there, spying on the humans.

In the movie, no one realise he's there. That mean he can spy and sabotage to set Megatron next plan in motion.

Didn't they already prove it doesn't really matter whether one of them is killed or not, that they can just come up with any old storyline to bring any of them back that they want?

Sometimes I wonder if Soundwave in ROTF could have been as high ranking as Megatron? Since Megatron has been out of the picture for so long with the Decepticons, Soundwave could be of some considerable high rank with the Fallen. I don't remember hearing Megatron giving commands to Soundwave in the movie. Soundwave was relaying commands and sending out direct orders besides information. Plus, he doesn't have to fight. Thats what Ravage and any other smaller mini-con are for. In fact the Fallen was an idiot to come down to fight. A true powerful leader doesn't have to micromanage his soldiers. Anyhow, since Megatron is not the leader of the Decepticons in ROTF, there is no reason for me to think he is any higher ranking then Soundwave. Soundwave could now try and take over if he likes while Megatron and Starscream are so wounded and weak. With the Fallen taken out, now there might be a conflict of interests for Decepticon Supremacy. Image

I thought Soundwave being in space, and tapping into Satellites for Intel and spying was magnificent.. and more logical.. because from there he can tap into any phone network or internet, and info he needs..

Not to mention in his capacity as a Satellite Spy, he could also shoot down on earth minions, like ravage.. and that was kinda cool... he fit both his functions on earth..

spying and espionage, and the ability to release small cons for missions..

it was perfect!!

it made sense..

and it was logical and Brilliant!
