I went to see transformers 2 again last night, thought it was better the second time, But first movie for some reason seemed better. But when sams parents were in paris was that barricade that got sams parents it looked just like barricade, hopfully in the deleted scenes or they come out with an uncut one with more scenes. but i could of sworn that looked like barricade for that split second. and heres a sweet techno remix to the transformers movie theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Qq0_qUfpw

I thought so too but I'm more aching towards it being a generic Con Protoform like we see in the final battle.

I think it was Barricade.
Why pimp him out with toys and M&M packages if he's not in the movie at least once?

This thread illustrates one of my big complaints with this movie-action happens but you can barely tell what that action is and who is involved. More of Bay's jerky camera and transformers glimses. My gosh, just hold the freaking camera still and let us get a good look at what's going on.

Can you tell I was disappointed with the movie and am not happy about it?

I looked at the face, i feel that is Grindor/Blackout. Is he dead by then? i am not sure.
If it is Grindor, then he passed them to Rampage i guess.

I agree with u, but compared to TF1, this one dont shake that much isnt it?
The first time i watched it, i only noticed Jolt when Prime & Jetfire combine.
The 2nd time i watched it, I noticed Jolt also there at the background at the Airbase (when prime died, and all autobots were surrounded by the jerk president advisor and his army).
The 3rd time i watched it, I saw a few more glimpses of Jolt, his arms with electric when he is ready for battle etc.

In RotF, Optimus stated that the Autobots and NEST encountered 6 Decepticons in a year, so I believe Barricade was one of the victims. So I don't think it was Barricade who kidnapped Sam's parents.

Looked like one of the protoforms to me.

It did look like Barricade to me, too. That was my Happy from my second viewing.

I don't think it was Grindor/Blackout because if I remember, Blackout is like 30 feet tall and Barricade's in the mid-teens. Their kidnapper did NOT look three stories tall. Hence, Barricade.

Also, I may totally have the chronology screwed up, but wasn't the kidnapping AFTER the forest fight? And didn't Grindor DIE in the forest fight?

Still believe it was a protoform bot. One second you have a meteor crash into Paris and then the next you have an unidentified bot kidnapping the parents in Paris. Barricade would already have been on Earth.

i was sure it was Soundwave, the face looked the same but it went so fast so couldnt tell for sure. but yeah, i thought it was him so i was excited thinking we'd see him on earth and in robot form. what bastards, they promise to put him in the 2nd movie and all we get is that? lol least they got Welker to do his voice.

on a totally different topic, maybe someone here can help me. i remember seeing some art for a movie take on Unicron. i dont know if it was offical concept art or just a fan's but i'm pretty sure i saw it on this site. assuming i'm not wrong, can anybody supply a link? was tryin to show a friend. lol

I would put my bet on Rampage before he takes the shape of his vehicle. But when the army guy in the helicopter talks about there 6 alien encounters Barricade was probably one of them XD

Looks like Barricade to me. He even made the same sounds Barricade did in the first film. I really wish they would explain things a bit better. I loved both films but I feel they should release both films on DVD/Blu Ray with scenes explaining what happened to some of the transformers who just seemed to disappear then reappear then disappear again.

I was going to say that it wasnt Barricade, but I just looked him up again in the first trailer and noticed they have a lot in common. I would like for this character to be Blackout or Barricade, just to say they're in the movie, but im pretty sure its just a Decepticon soldier that came down in France to capture Sams parents.

I watched ROTF 4 times. My conclusion is a Protoform Decepticon captured Sam's parents.

Otherwise waht would be the point of having them land in France, at exactly the same place Sam's parents are?

Soundwave tracked them through Mrs Witwicky's cellphone, then sent two Protoforms down

As much as i'd like it to be Barricade, i really doubt it was

He didn't have wheels on his hand like Barricade does, so I think it was just a protoform.

It was for sure a protoform because it had no vehicle parts at all. Also Why else would there be protoforms crashing there. Although I do agree it looks like it had a G/B face. I'm wearing a movie one barricade shirt right now, it had no traits of his face.
