:APPLAUSE:  Hey all my fellow seibertronians. The movie was ENJOYABLE AND ENTERTAINING. Yes I said it whoever thinks your going to get a G1 biopic that validates your early to mid eighties boyhood glee needs to relax! I mean come on, yes I still have a G1 soundwave, he is beat up still works on my son's shelf. However, The movie version I felt was very lore correct. Updated look- check, ravage shot out of chest-check relays info to Megatron-check.. See, There ya go what the G1 or death crowd and the critics fail to realize is this isn't life or death and its fun . Giant robots from outerspace !!! remember that people. Autobot presence detected!!!

You're pretty open to some of the valid criticism of the movie here.

Play nice.

I agree, people take it way too seriously considering it's based on a line of toys and a cartoon made with the sole intention to make those toys look good.

Um not all G1 fans hate the movies. I've been a TF fan since 84 and I enjoy the movies, just like I've enjoyed most of the previous incarnations. Since when has it become such a bad thing to be a G1 fan, if we hadn't been there to support G1 in the beginning there would be no movie period.

Not all G1 fans are bad, I grew up with it myself. Like I said some of them take it way too seriously and consider every tiny change to be what will kill the franchise. Optimus having a mouth isn't raping your childhood, relax.

I totally agree. I have my own complaints with the movie, but I like to think that my overall enjoyment of the movie decides my final verdict on the show. And also, I don't see why the story is THAT much worse than all the other franchises in TF history. Maybe it's because I'm partial to the uglier and more alien designs, but oh well.

Inspite of all my constructive criticism I enjoyed the movie, and chock up the mistakes as "cartoon in live action". For what its worth, the mistakes in Revenge are very minor in comparison to just one episode of G1. I will be buying it on Blu-ray when it comes out.

I consider myself verry VERRY much a G1 fan..... to the extend that i'm only just able to stomach (lets say) the unicron trilogy, and the stuff with the munkey makes me lose the will to live....

however I LOVE the stuff whe have been getting these last couple of years, animated is simply fun, and the movies ROCK!
Sure its bayisme, sure there are plotholes the size of texas, but man they rock!

Its a whole new universe to play around in, a darker , more 'magic' (for lack of a better word) type of universe , and i actualy think the g1 references are enough to keep us oldtimers oogling to spot the next..... ravage his backguns, soundwave reminding me of his g1 voice whitout actualy sounding like it, Prime is a truck , Ironhide is triggerhappy, using the term 'seekers' (a term whe fans actualy invented if i'm not mistaking) .....the list goes on

These movies where never ment to be g1, ore even a G1 hommage, they are ment to exist on themselves, allowing people who had never before heard of a transformer (yess they do exist) to actualy understand what was going on...making it somehow 'link up' with anything that existed before would only confuse the general audience.

They are ment to be enyoyed, enyoyed by the the average moviegoer as a big eventmovie, and enyoyed by fans as a reinventing of something whe love, sit back, relax , enyoy the ride, I hope this universe goes on to be explored after the 3de movie, I realy do.

When to see ROTF the second time yesterday, my mate brought his 9 year old along, he's REALY big on the movieverse, exitement and sparkels in his eyes......in 20 years from now he hopefully will be having sortoff the same conversation on whatever replaced the internet about the latest incarnation of transformers and how he grew up with the movieverse....
