In the context of Boogie Nights, it's funny as hell. In the context of TF the movie, its 80's cheese becomes awesome for that brief time.
In the context of this new movie, it would be scary and wrong,
unless it was playing on a radio in the background for a brief moment, as an easter egg for the fans. That would rule, and I hope it happens.

In other words, not the same 80's song, just the arrangement of the otherwise new score having some throwback similarities to the old original. They could also do like Spiderman, and have the original in the credits at the end as a joke, but during the movie it would not be there.
