Springer in ROTF

I have the Legends class toy of Springer from ROTF, which I love. While looking at Springer's Wiki entry, it mentions that he was meant to be in the movie and was in various early drafts of the script, but was finally cut.
Since both a Legends class and Robot Heroes toy of him were made, I'm assuming he was actually designed for the movie too (as was the case with Arcee in the first movie). Anyone seen any concept art for how he was supposed to look in the movie, or know anything more about this?
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that we've seen legends pics of a toy for him. He's some kind of helicopter if I'm not mistaken. It was a long time ago though..

I have the Legends toy of him. He turns into an Osprey (sort of a plane with 2 engines with rotors, but the engines rotate up to allow vertical take-off and landing), same as Incinerator, though with 4 blades per engine instead of 3.
What I'm looking for is concept art, i.e. what the movie designer drew up, which then was used by Hasbro/Takara to make the toy. This happened with Arcee in the first movie, where the concept art was a Buell motorcycle, then Hasbro made a toy based on that, though the bike mode looked like a cross between a Buell and a Suzuki, though the robot mode was almost identical.

I'm glad he's not in it.
He'd just be another character with 3 seconds of screen time.

3 seconds is better than nothing at all.
That's pretty much all Sideswipe and Arcee got, and they're some of my faves.
Sideways only got about 3 seconds, but thanks to that he's in the videogame, where he's one of the most fun characters. Sideswipe is in the expansion pack.

Just completely true. No need for Springer to be a character.

Oooo, just read your post again, must have missed "I have the legends toy" lol. But I haven't seen any concept art. I'm guessing there isn't any, or Hasbro would've produced a larger version rather than just a simple legends, which someone could've easily come up with for a toy.

Would have sweet if he did make an appearance though, maybe in the third one we'll see him. The Legends figure is actually rather cool, so at least that came out of it.

Maybe he'll be in the new "Nefarious" comic. It's supposed to have characters that didn't get any screen time.

I should probably start reading the comics... :(

Well Springer might make next round as other suggested as Arcee got the toy and comic appears, but didnt quite make the cut for the film. It be nice if Ace McCloud himself, Neil Ross would voice him, but thats just wishfull thinking on my part hehe.
