Transformers movie illustrator and robot designer Josh Nizzi, who had his fan-made Long Haul design included in "Revenge of the Fallen" and was subsequently chosen to work on the film, has updated his website with concept art from the movie. The artwork features Megatron, Jetfire, various head designs, and even the design for the Burger King "King" robot.

Soundwaves head is spot on. Its just to bad he had so little screen time. Also didnt like that they tried to give him a mouth. I think they used the wrong head for fallen. There are about 3 better ones there.

EDIT: Well after getting a few more pics to finally load i have to say they really used the wrong designs for Fallen and Megatron. The pic that shows the 3 Megatron concepts if you were to take the legs from the first one, the chest/arms from the second, and the head from the third that would've been a decent looking Megatron. As for The Fallen, the 2nd design (one of 12) is way Superior to what we got. If they used that one i might have actually considered it to be The Fallen. Well now we know its not the artist fault, its the guy who picks and oks the final look.

Wow... are these supposed to be WORKING pictures? Cause none of them are showing up.

EDIT 1 Oh, there we go.

EDIT 2 Ok, it looks like it decides what it wants to work and what it doesn't want to work randomly.

That 'Con on the aircraft carrier is AWESOME! it looks like a submarine alt mode! And did you check out the "rough" Prime trailer power suit drawings?

Does anyone else wish they could draw like this?

Yeah that Sub-Bot was pretty great. The pic says it's a "Fallen" character, meaning perhaps "Fallen" was to have a alt mode after all? Truth be told, this concept looks as it if would have been a better version of Devastator. Hands down. And I'm trying to get to this level of artistic savey.....almost there. My recent Voltron movie art that I was contracted to do leaves me hopeful...my next pet project is a treatment of Unicron after I'm done building giant robots.

Oh BTW, for those of you having trouble viewing the pics, try right clicking on the thumbs and opening in a new window. Worked for me.

His art is great however, I'm just sad certain concepts didn't stay as they were developed into the then still work in progress script. BTW, the pics of Prime merged with his trailer are fantastic. God I hope this makes the third film. Soundwaves head design is awesome as well, though I believe this too was changed being they gave him the Bug quad eyes verses this awesome visor....and a different mouth piece as well which looked like...well a bug.

From one Josh to another, this is Fantasmic! :APPLAUSE:
Between Josh and Ben Proctor, this art development team is aces. You guys wouldn't have room for one more? ;;)

Back to building,
Josh
