Lastjustice,
Hi! Ah ol Spinosaur Egypticus and Giganatosaurus. Did you hear about the possible T-Rex superspecies, Tyrannosaur Imperial? Or was it Imperialsaur Rex? I forget, bunch of controversy being the skeletal remains save for the femur I think were destroyed. Pitty. But if the scale were right, Imperial Rex would be right up there with the super predators.
I'd say, honestly, T-Rex would be more then large enough, in his alt mode compared to the Peter Built and GM's Truck, the Rex is still taller then both upon seeing both the cars live and the Skeletal Remains on display at the Natural History Museum in Cali. Then if you have Grimlock Transform from that already taller alt mode, well he'd be a note worthy beastie. Plus, T-Rex pretty much ate cars....just look at Jurassic Park or The Lost World. Poor bus never stood a chance
However, if we want him taller and bigger, I'd say take a page out of Ravages hand book. Ravage was only the size of a panther roughly, and in the film he's a pretty big kitty being issues about the cassette form were obviously not a factor. Why not make Grimlocks alt mode based off a saurian frame...but still be its own beast. So we can have a 30-40 foot Robot Dinosaur, which would then translate into a bigger Grimlock! I mean Scorpinock was based of a scorpion, but I've never seen a bug that size....ever! But Giganatosaurus would be awesome, being it's huge and just mean looking.
As for the Predacons, thats a wish list. I really don't trust Michael with them, but in issues of mass shifting, and scale, Devastator broke all these rules in the movie so why stick to them in the third film? But if ya want big Predacons, why not just turn to prehistoric beasts like the Wooly Rhino or the American Lion, The Teratorn, Long Horned buffalo, and being there's another feline based predacon either swap it for another form like the Shortfaced Bear or keep on another feline mode....just drastically different in features.
But again, moot. I really don't trust them with combiners. Not because it's an issue of complexity, hell Power Rangers have been doing it forever with guys in suits....so to say ILM can't pull it off proper is really a bad sign for them. No, I think it was more of a marketing ploy....or a coverup for bad plot holes (How can we have the constructicons fighting the army and still form Devastator and destroy a Pyramid at the same time? I know, make clones! Yay) Ugh.....so sad.
Ha! CRUSHASAURUS! I do remember, is it still around? Grimlock being Crushasaurus....or a really awesome upgrade of it, would be pretty fantastic ha ha ha.
Laters,
Josh
