Transformers Revenge of the Fallen star Tyrese Gibson has been hitting the Comic Con trail this weekend in San Diego California, giving attendees a chance to talk with him and promote all the new projects he's going to be involved in.

According to a report at Blast Magazine, he assured Comic Con goers that Sgt. Epps will be back for Transformers 3 and that Director Michael Bay will be at the helm once again directing the third installment to the live action franchise.

“Michael Bay, he definitely needs to take a break from (“Transformers”), understandably so, but this is the movie — the biggest movie he’s ever directed in his life,” said Gibson. “And so, he can keep producing all of these other projects, but he is officially the king of geeks.”

When asked about his part in the third film he stated this:

“I will absolutely be back,” he said, “and my part is going to be bumped up.”

Why bump up his part in TF3. He was **** annoying in the first movie. I was happy he didnt get that many lines in RotF.

He doesn't know anything about TF3, he's talking sh!t to boost himself up. There's no script yet, and micheal bay won't start pre-production on it 'til maybe late next year. I agree, he's annoying, and I hope they DON'T expand his character.

You know, the way he melted into total fanboy goo when Peter Cullen showed up at Botcon, he really oughtn't chuck around titles like 'king of the geeks'. :P

“I will absolutely be back,” he said, “and my part is going to be bumped up.”

For the record, I am against humans in Transformers films. I am pro-Cybertron for TF3. But y'all have made such a sticky mess on the floor about Megan Fox that she's a definite (and I hate all of you just a little bit for that) for the sequel. Which means we're probably stuck on Earth for TF3.

But Epps, well, honestly, of all of the History of Annoying Humans Cluttering Up My Transformers, he's actually way lower down on the list. All the NEST guys did in TF2 was this: lumber under heavy equipment, and get thwarted by bureaucracy. Neither of them really plot-essential. But still, I like Gibson, and I kind of have a soft spot for Epps from the first movie. It takes a real man to get his butt felt by another dude. He can stay, and get a bigger part. I'm perfectly okay with that. More Epps means...less Leo. Also, less likelihood of introducing even more shallow and plot-unnecessary human characters. At least I can recognize Epps and Lennox.

HK, of course, he knows what he's talking about as much as I have a chance of being asked to write the next movie, but, if his idea is to float the concept and see how the fanbase reacts, mission accomplished.

lol, man bunch of movie haters and movie human haters in this site, makes me wonder if those of you who are those said haters are actually TF fans, certainly doesn't sound like it. Whatever happened to the phrase and meaning "Give It A Chance." Guess that went out the window with Unfair judgement in today's movies.

Oh and will say this again, the "new" animated show is retarded and only for the idiots who think that style of animation and "humor" is "good"!

Oh, teh noes! It's the TransFan Police! Quick, run: He's going to take away our Fan License because we don't care for HUMANS in our ROBOT movies.

Makes about as much sense as someone saying I'm not a football fan because I don't like halftime.

Besides, umm, we *did* try it? Two movies' worth?

HK, proper grammar and punctuation. Try it. (I know, 'HK, don't bite the trollbait', but this gets so old.)

I could care less if Gibson is in it or not. He flies under the radar when it comes to criticism really well. Most people point out Megan and Shia, but Tyrese is a joke in these movies. His acting is just terrible, but noone says it. Too bad if he makes a bigger appearance in TF3.

I really could care less if he is in the next one more because honestly, he made me chuckle a few times in this last one.

I completely agree. When my wife had just had our baby this past May, we were watching Cartoon Network early in the morning and I saw this face:

I mean...wtf did they do to him?!?

Why are we talking about this in a movie forum btw?...in fact, what even brought that up? :-?

As much as I'm sure most would love no humans in TF, that's a very unrealistic and naive thing to expect, or criticize about the movies. Humans, for the most part, always have, and always will have some sort of part in TF. Especially in a live action movie. There's just no way of getting around that.

As for epps, i don't mind him. He wasn't a big part in either film. Was more of Lennox's side kick.

Bah. Screw "bumping up" human characters and screw Tyrese. He doesn't know dick about the next film and Bay ain't even ready to start talking about it yet. What a moron.

Instead of crap like that, how about more dialog between the bots that is actually important? How about an Optimus Prime that ACTS like the Optimus Prime we are all accustomed to? How about keeping the interaction between bots and humans to a minimum and only having it when necessary?

Whoops, sorry. Back to my G1 DVD's.... :)

You don't read a lot of the comics, then, do you? Not so many people in Reign of Starscream. Beast Wars, no humans that I can remember. Not a lot in the Spotlights (some, yes, but many have no humans and no I don't count bipedal squishy aliens as 'humans'). None in War Within. Megatron Origin. I think everyone would agree that All Hail Megatron would have been MUCH better if there were no people, as they are entirely incidental to the actual interesting plot. I could go on.

TF CAN be done, and done quite well, without the idiot fleshlings.

But if there must be humans, I just ask they're not wasting screen time when I want to be watching robots.

HK, naive? That's so sweet. I've not been called naive in *years*. ;;)

No, comics don't interest me. And even if i did, you can't compare movie to a comic book.

Again, you can't compare a TV, or movie that was completely animated, to one that shares animation with live action.
In a series/movie that both the bots and humans are animated, then its very simple to just give the humans less parts in the story. There all animated, so its not like there's a budget issue so there's no excuse for limited bot action, and /or dialogue between them. In a live action movie, the bots are animated and the humans are not. The bots take up the majority of the budget.

hellkitty wrote:TF CAN be done, and done quite well, without the idiot fleshlings.

Can it be done? Of course. I'm sure if the budget was close to $500,000,000. It has, and always will be about the all mighty $! Though one could argue if you included less actors, there pay could be included in the budget for more bot time.

hellkitty wrote:But if there must be humans, I just ask they're not wasting screen time when I want to be watching robots.

I think they did a good job of balancing the human/bots in both movies. The humans for the most part had key roles in the movie, so I'm not complaining.

hellkitty wrote:HK, naive? That's so sweet. I've not been called naive in *years*. ;;)

Didn't mean that as an insult, but more that it is what it is, and human interaction is nothing new among TF's.

I don't mind Epps too much. But do we really need more of him?

As for the human debate, it would be nice to see Megatron exact some revenge by killing Sam's Mom and Mikaela. I've had enough of them. And after the mud-slinging between Bay and Fox, he's probably ready to kill her character off too.
