It will definitely overtake Ep 3 and probably Spider-man by a few mil. But that's it. It'll stop at #8, until TF3 comes out and makes it to the top 3. :P

I can't believe one of the worst movies of all time is still at the top of the list. When will take that damn thing off of there?

were most of those movies even in theatres, because i think this is just refering to theatre movies :SMUG:

EDIT: are you sure that isn't limited to the US releases, because ROTF has grossed WAY more than that worldwide

M-W, I know this was not your intent, but you made me laugh with this one.

I agree, though, less humorously, that it is a mixed blessing. It *guarantees* TF3 will be made (yay!) but will somehow reinforce to all of the people responsible for the movie's many, many flaws (and I like it, don't get me wrong, but I don't LOVE it like I wanted to), will feel perfectly justified to do the same stuff all over again (boo).

HK, why do I have 'technojihad' stuck in my head?

My feelings are thus:

Transformers 3 is already greenlit. They are already talking about it. I would expect them to want to keep the train rolling with a 2011 release. Bay has already said he wants to take a break. I sincerely doubt that he will be back for TF3...especially after the huge amount of NEGATIVE press he has generated. I agree that it is LIKELY he will be back; I think there is a more distinct possibility that he will NOT be back than there was earlier. If he insists on taking his break and trying to push the movie to 2012, they may make it without him.

The other thing I want to bring up is that this movie has the feel of a "sequel for the sake of a sequel" and something that obviously was rushed. I do wonder if it had to do with the writers' strike and then everyone rushing to finish the movie and not polishing things the way we would have liked...but this was obviously the "middle" movie..at least, it felt that way to me.

And lastly, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE BEAT TITANIC??? THAT WAS THE MOST HORRIBLY ACTED MOVIE SINCE ISHTAR!!!!

Worst movies of all time? Anyone who says that needs see more bad movies heh. Even if it wasnt your kind of film, realistically theres films with soo much more wrong with them. About only way I'd accept the statement is you called it the worst movie with a 200+ million dollar budget. That there might be a case for, but Ive seen so much worse films this.

Yeah, I know there are a million worse movies than Titanic. But still, IMO, it's a over-inflated piece of crap. People seem to forget that it's just, what I call, a "current-events" movie. One of those half-assed movies that Hollywood throws out to try and cash in on whatever the big thing that's going on in the world. Just you watch, 1 year from now, they'll have a Michael Jackson biography movie in theaters. "ZOMG! 1 years anniversary! I am a sheep! I must see Michael Jackson movie!" Remember, this movie came out when they discovered the wreckage of the Titanic ship, so it was just super over-hyped. Not only that, but it was billed as a "true story", which was HUGE at the time. So some old lady writes a story about her trip on the doomed Titanic. She's an old lady, that's probably all it is, just a story. Ooo...the Ocean Jewel, or whatever her necklace was called. 8-| I hate that movie. Titanic was a horrible movie. Seriously, who still cares about Titanic? There's a thousand movies that are superior in every way. Guess you can't account for public taste.

Rant over.

Heh oh I thought you were calling RotF that, I misunderstood you. Yeah I thought Titanic was lame. The boat sinks...history told me the story, I dont need watch the movie. Same with Pearl Harbor, it gets bombed, so I skipped it. (so I dont love all that is Bay by any means.) It came out during a year where wasnt slag to watch, so people went to see it in droves during the winter.

Oddly my best friends mother is a complete idiot, she actually tried tell one of her sons it was based off a real person and events..(shes living proof how idiot proof the world is sometimes.) How my best friend is almost a genius I'll hazard a guess came from his dads side. Though in his defense his uncle is Rob Walsh who wrote the transformers theme.(his dad is a musician too, just never as sucessful.) I smirk when I rewatch older cartoons and see his name in the credits.

In anycase for all hate RotF gets, theres been infinitely worse films out there. Like go watch Wing Commander, Street fighter(either one.) Or a bunch of video game based movies. The DBZ live action film, reign of fire. Like Im sure people could make a massive list of films that whether you liked RotF or not, it was clearly better than. Still doesnt stop people from claiming worst movie of all time on IMDB though heh. ..silly noobs.
