Ok, its really annoying me how Skorponok got a whole 30 seconds of screen time, then as most of the other Decepticons were, brutally murdered.

What did you think about his grand entrance in the movie? Wouldnt seeing Ravage and Skorponok together be awesome?

ya like really, skorponok got 30 seconds was killed by Jetfire. But I thought It was like 15 seconds because 30 seconds would be a little longer, dontcha think?

Yeah, Scorponok finally re-emerges after his fight with Lennox and team in the first movie, only to get killed by Jetfire within seconds of his reappearance. Lame... would have been nice to have seen more of him before he gets offed by anybody.

Considering the amount of damage Scorponok was doing to Jetfire, 30 seconds of Scorpy would probably have killed or "brutally murdered" Jetfire... well before Jetfire could've done himself in.

I've never really thought of movie 'nok as a real threat to any full sized bot, let alone Jetfire.
Did you see how dead Mixmaster was after meeting Jetfire? He was very dead.
Deader than Dumbledore.
And that's pretty dead.

I mean Scorpinok was great against the (at the time completely unprepared) humans, as was Ravage, but put either of them up against a full sized bot (Jetfire and Bumblebee in this case) and maybe they'll get a sneak attack or two in, but in the end it's no surprise they both ended up slagged.

Scorpy was a waste of CGI resourses, IMO. There was no point bringing him back for that itsy bitsy moment.

I guess Skorponok did do quite a bit of damage to Jetfire, but he could have ran away after he drilled into him. I assume Skorponok would be great at fast hit and run tactics. I knew from the second I saw him in the trailer he was going to die, I just wanted him to have some more screen time, maybe show what hes done for the Decepticons recently besides sitting around in the sand waiting for his 15 seconds of fame in the new movie.

At least Scorponok got closure. What about Barricade? He's still running around somewhere. His death was never documented on screen.

Perhaps not. I havent read any of the books, but I think after Optimus fought Bonecrusher, Barricade jumped in and fought him too. Its in the books and the comic, but I might be wrong. If Barricade were still alive he would have been in this movie.

In reign of Screamer we saw him injured after the Highway chase scene, still not fully aware of what happened. I think Ironhide drove him into a pillar if memory serves? Can't be bothered to dig through boxes to find them just yet.

Screamer flew off to pick up Frenzy's remains from Hoover Dam, then got distracted and returned to the Nemesis and ran off and did boring things written to give "screen" time to some of the non-movie figures.
We never saw Barricade after this. He had said he was recovering, but that's it. As far as I know Revenge is set two years later(?) so if he's still sitting there under the highway, don't you think SOMEONE would have found him?
I assume he got bored of waiting for Screamer and drove off into the sunset. And killed things.

In the comic Starscream asks Barricade if he's still functional. Barricade tells him that his energon levels are recharging. I haven't seen him in any of the other comics, but Im sure he's still alive and waiting. My guess is that he'll be back to fight Bumblebee in the next movie ;;)

Barricade made a brief appearance in ROTF: Alliance. And he was also in The Veiled Threat novel towards the end. So Barricade's pretty much still alive. I just don't know why they left him out in the sequel. Maybe he'll appear in #3?

Alright, Barricades probably still alive, but this isnt the place for discussion on Barricade, its for Skorponok, who was too cool to die so fast.

Someone may have already said this but i dun feel like reading through every post. I kinda feel he was part of the plot to semi-kill JF so that he will sacrifice himself to optimus. Besides you gotta admit, if not for the screen time, people would be asked where he wen or why he wasnt in it. Both him and Ravage took a FAST death, no real effort needed to kill them.
