I'm sure that every Brit is pissed off with the fact that we get this film like a hundred years after everybody else. Don't Paramount realise that there are those who won't be able to wait that long and will just go and get an illegal copy.
If you really want this thing brought forward, vent your frustration and tell Paramount to bring the date forward!!

Yep.
And that's a very bad time to bring out Transformers, when Simpsons is out. EVERYBODY is going to watch Simpsons.

the UK offical movie site had said June 29th, but that site is no longer available. Now I have noticed the trailers say July 7th everywhere, but thats a load of bull cos some areas are getting it in June. If the UK is the last to get it, I guess we'll see a lot of pirate copies being booted around before July 27th.

Yep. That's what I hope WE can get across to Paramount. There will be Pirate copies galore between July 4th and 27th. It will be THE HOTTEST PIRATE MOVIE. Also, same day as Simpsons??? BAD BAD IDEA.

This is the worst news ever. It was ok when it was late June early July cause id still be in England. Now its been changed to July 27th HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO SEE IT WHEN I'M IN IRAQ?!!
Now to steal a line from the original film
"There's no hope, no hope, no hope, no hope at all"

Is paramount the company handling international distribution? They may not even have a say it it if thats the case.

If they are not the distribution company then they can't do anything about it.

No company is listed as the UK distributor at the moment:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/companycreditsAnd just be glad you're not Slovakia because they have to wait even longer.

Just to clear a couple of things up, Paramount Pictures is the UK distributor and always has been (even when they were using UIP, Paramount were still involved).
The 29th June date was the date I found on the official movie site and pointed out to Paramount UK. Unfortunately, they have confirmed that it is still the 27th July, the same date as The Simpsons Movie.
Given the fact that the UK contributes on average 10% of the box office, this is silly from Paramount. Fox, Sony and Disney, the top three studios based on box office takings last year, all release movies worldwide at the same time, but Paramount delay them (MI3, War of the Worlds, Shreck The Third as recent examples) and it obviously costs them money. Also, given the fact that the UK needs no subtitles or edits, it is a rediculus decision.

Yeah, man. We have to threaten paramount with us just going the Pirate route. You can get some pretty good pirate copies.

Meka leka hi, meka hiney ho, I sense a warning coming to you bro.
Might want to take a look around the boards for a "sticky" before you get too much into the "pirating" talk

The best part is that I'll get to see it, set foot on Brit soil the following week, then come back to the States and see it again before they've even seen it the first time. God Bless America!
But I'm happy to bring some jaffa cakes back to the States and eat them during the second viewing just to make our friends across the pond feel better.
