MTV talked to Transformers star Megan Fox who says she is signed for a sequel, should one go ahead:

Actress Megan Fox, the beauty who joins Shia LaBeouf as the main human contingent of Michael Bay's ultimate robot brawl, has confirmed to MTV that she is signed for the sequel. "I hear they're writing it now," she tells us. "So we'll see."

While fans count down to the July 4th release of “Transformers,” others are already looking towards the next chapter. Actress Megan Fox, the beauty who joins Shia Leboeuf as the main human contingent of Michael Bay’s ultimate robot brawl, has confirmed to MTV that she is signed for the sequel. “I hear they’re writing it now,” she tells us. “So we’ll see.”

Fox is excited to reteam with her Cybertronian co-stars, now that she’s used to acting alongside the CGI creations. “It was actually 30-foot-tall metal polls that we would talk to with cardboard cutouts for heads,” she says. “They would be like Jazz’s head or Optimus Prime’s face and we would talk to them. And the first few takes you do you feel stupid, but then you get used to it and open up and it’s actually a lot of fun.”

that sounds good to me. i like the thing about Arcee, but i dont know if they will put arcee in since they were originally going to in TF1, but then they didnt cuz of fans saying it wouldnt work.

No one is writing anything. As I have gathered from reading about all of this hype so far is this: Paramount/Dreamworks believe VERY HIGHLY in this TF film, and want to milk it dry, that is to say, they want MANY sequels, like Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, etc.

Because of their high testing of the film with audiences, they feel confident in it's success. That said, no one is writing anything but us fans. Let's get real.

It has not even come out yet. Right now, the writers are just talking and throwing ideas around. It is called "development". It is done all the time for films that do not see the light of day.

Megan Fox is just trying to feed the hype machine that so many of us (myself included) sometimes fall prey to.

Let's just see if they get this one right.

And NOT make f***ing Will Smith as Jazz!!! that would be an insult to an awesome charachter with lots of history.

Soundwave and the constructicons rebuilding megatron! and the whole time autobots trying to stop them and starscream scheming!

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers already have a sequel story in mind, but I doubt they're penning the script just yet.

well i'm not saying by any means that this is how it is but how i see trilogies (and lets face it, we'd love there to be more than three but unless you're harry potter, chances are that it won't happen.

film1) opener - lots of plot, character building and lots of potential endings to the saga.
film2) often a difficult decision with one or more main characters dying leaving the 'mains' left to finish the job and subsequently complete the setup for F3.
film3) final battle - possible re-appearence of one or more 'sub characters' (although be it dream / protoge form)to complete a long standing plot / story line.

If that's the case i'd throw in Megs going down in F1 being rebuilt or repaired (Galvatron) as a previous poster has mentioned. F2 leading into the AB's getting established and possibly the death or defection of someone close to optimus. F3 defeat of the DC's in an allout battle (away from populated area's where the AB's can't hurt us squishies).

Let's see how #1 goes till then.

My thoughts on the story of the sequel:

If Megatron dies at the end of the first movie, then that would give Starscream the opportunity he needs to lead the Decepticons. Shockwave or Soundwave could order that Megatron be rebuilt so he could reclaim leadership from Starscream and that could cause a power struggle between the two and possibly divide the Decepticons, causing a civil war. Then Starscream would discover the source of ultimate power making him a threat to both Megatron and the Autobots, so they would have to team together to defeat Starscream, like they did in the original series.

Also I think Ironhide should be a big part of the sequel just cause I like him.

Anyone else think Prime is gonna bite it in the sequel?

Honestly I think that they should follow in the steps of Star Wars ie: Not let the bots win the secoond movie. I remember so well seeing Empire strikes Back for the first time and thinking at the end "Damn. Han's in carbon and the rest just escaped by the skin of their teeth."If they want to make it as real as possible then they can't let the Autobots win all the time.

Oh and for the record I am an Autobot fan.

And if it is a trilogy, it would be a NECESSARY evil for Prime to sacrifice himself in a heroic fashion at the last min. at the end of the final film.

It would just close it allup so well. And make children everywhere cry.

But it would add much-needed closure.
