i got sent a link to this interview for wonderland by a friend and was shocked by how she'd actually say that in a written interview


" MH: I’m going to start with some questions my brother has for you. The first one: what are your most favourite and least favourite things about working with Michael Bay?
MF: God, I really wish I could go loose on this one. He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he’s a tyrant. Shia and I almost die when we make a Transformers movie. He has you do some really insane things that insurance would never let you do."

I understand what she was trying to say, but she could have used a better example. Taken out of context that could cause some backlash.

couldn't she just use dictator / authoritarian or something in that context instead of real-life reference?

I kind of like the irony of her saying *he* has no social skills. This is like the third interview snippet I've read where Megan Fox says something asinine and borderline offensive about Bay or the movie or the fans. He may be clumsy in groups, but she's the queen career suicide by foot in mouth.

Next time anyone tells me she got where she is based on her intelligence and ability to speak off the cuff, I will laugh till I pass out. She has a career because of one thing. Okay, two things. Chichi number one and chichi number two.

I'm sure directors will be LINING UP to work with her seeing how she stabs her directors in the back like this. Yay for loyalty.

HK, Then again, I bet with her foot in her mouth all the time, she's plenty flexible.

I don't know, with all the Bay hate going around that might make her a more popular choice.

If he's that much of a "tyrant" one would think that the end product would feel a little more like a movie that was directed by a "tyrant" lol.

Well, as it was said, it would be good to have a link to the source. But also, knowing Megan Fox, I wouldn't doubt she actually said that, and also knowing Bay, I don't think she would be lying. But, link to the source...

Very nice (as in droolable for you menfolk) pics, and you also find out, irony of ironies, that apparently, she *hates* being looked at. (Facepalm). Wow. She sure went into the right line of work.

Wow, is she sincere in her interview? It's not even about having to like Bay(I'm not a big fan of the guy), it's the way she seems oblivious to how this kind of statement isn't doing her any good in the eye of the public. A bit of tact wouldn't hurt...

Stow the attitude, I for one don't appreciate it.

It's considered common courtesy to simply provide a link to such things. Quoting is good sure, BUT if such things are going to be given a news credit (regardless of whether it may or may not) then we need a source for it.

Plus what's stopping someone from making up crap just to stir people up?

"Attitude" was entirely in your imagination, Burn. The original poster didn't use a link, but he did mention the name of the magazine and the quote in entirety. I don't mind providing a link, but he left enough breadcrumbs that 5 seconds on google popped it up so we verify.

I provided source, as you requested. The 'joo' is the hint that it was funny. Guess you're not a big Charo fan.

Bay hate from who? Select fans? The general public and producers don't seem to have a problem with him. And just cause someones hard to work for doesn't mean there a bad person or director. Seems to me that their (Bay and Fox) are just going back and forth with the slander. Though this time i think she went a bit over the top and it could cost her.

Its one thing say someone is demanding and hard work for. Shia said simliar things, just with a bit more tact. Which is a fair assessment, and I doubt Bay himself would suggest otherwise cause he knows hes demanding. (and probably revels in fact he is way he is.) But go and say the way she just supplying a something that can be ripped horribly out of context. I mean if someone says they were as efficient as nazis, most people mind immediately are just going focus on the nazi part. Not say Hitler wasn't an effective leader, and got things done, but most people dont really want you draw comparsions to him and them. (I suppose from effectiveness stand point it be worse be compared Megatron heh.) It doesnt help she added the socially awkward part to follow it up.

While I dont think she should kiss Bay's Aft just cause he helped get her noticed, I do think she should be a bit more mindful of what she says about him and the image she presents as a whole. While Bay probably will just scoff at what she says as he did at some of her other quotes, she is replaceable. She shouldn't make it a point give Bay a reason to replace her. Right now shes quickly becoming Bay's starscream hehe.

I think she means he is authoritarian and bossy on set not that he is like one of the most evil people in the history of the world. He might be a @sshole but getting a 3 movie deal is a good job nowdays.So she has to be nice even if it's pushy at times.

The sad thing about this is that I don't know if Megan Fox will actually regret what she says in the future. She seems to have a unique perspective on things...where speaking candidly about bodily functions on the record isn't given a second thought.

I mean, there are better ways to get out of a deal than to aggravate the director and make yourself look foolish in an interview. I'm not a Bay fan, though I do enjoy his work in TF2007 and to a lesser extent in RotF. I do get the impression of seething hatred for him, partly due to his personality, but from what I heard during the commentary on TF2007, he doesn't hide the fact that he is not easy to work with and that he demands a lot from his crew. Unless Bay has said negative things about Megan, she's making herself look like the bad guy regardless of what Bay is like to work with.

Well, going from what Megan Fox said about the TF fans and Bay, I doubt a lot of people would miss her if she didn't make it into TF3.

What about the fans? I don't live up to the stereotype of typical fan. Im trying to get my hair like hers because I think it's gorgeous. But I see what you are saying if she badmouth us she will know about it. We keep her in a job you know.

I haven't really heard her speak bad about fans. She talked crap about the Midwest a while ago, and now this. Add to it "Jennifer's Body" and she's probably on her way out. She's becoming a PR nightmare. I do find it a pleasant surprise that she's not afraid to just speak her mind, unfortunately what's on her mind is not always for the public.

But I am excited about Jonah Hex. But she's only a supporting character in that one.

I don't like Bay much, but in the end he give me a better impression than Megan Fox. Bay is an under-average director, but Megan is simply a bad actor.

She has the acting skills of a cardboard box.
