I would like to know why you like Transformers so much?
Is it because of the director, the franchise, the explosions or because its just a big hollywood blockbuster?
Do you think the first Transformers is better than the second?

First, I think the first live movie was good. Far from flawless, but by miles better than RotF.
The franchise was what carried the second movie on its shoulders.

Add the human cast, and those are the things that I
don't like in the movies. They tried to make the movies EPIC, and the first movie suceeded, the awesome openings - Cullens narration about the Cube and the Quatar attack - were Epic, but there is no moment in RotF such as those - the Forest Battle is good, would be awesome if they would have told why there is a second Blackout/Grindor there or swap it for a new decepticon.

I like the Transformers movies because every since I was a kid watching G1 cartoon, I've always wondered what it would be like if it happened irl. The first Transformers movie is better than the second in some way, such as storyline, the introduction of characters...etc.

My answer is "A little bit of everything mentioned.".
TF2007 is a thoroughly enjoyable movie for me. It's not perfect but I'm not looking for perfection. I found that TF2007 offered a far better balanced movie than RotF. The action and humour is paced well. There is a decent amount of homage to make fans of Transformers(the toys, cartoons, and comics) like me get enjoyment out of nostalgia. I think TF2007 succeeds more than it fails. It accomplishes what it sets out to do, which is to be a summer blockbuster, but it has a nice mix of humour and action. I have rewatched TF2007 many times over and it still seems fresh to me.
One of the things that stood out to me was the way that Bay didn't have Sam and Mikaela kiss before parting during the climatic battle scene of the movie. I felt the avoidance of such a cliche kiss moment was something unique and something that I haven't heard anyone mention in their review of the movie. I'm not a big fan of Bay but I think he deserves credit for a seemingly intelligent choice of direction for that scene. Many "better" directors would have had the pair kiss and then run off to see to their missions.
RotF is, unfortunately, not as good as the first movie, for me. RotF is like having a wonderful dish for the second time and being somewhat disappointed. The first time you have the meal, the cook prepared everything just right. The second time, maybe the cook forgot about the basics of good food and went a bit heavy on the seasoning, relying upon that instead of fresh, top quality ingredients. That's how RotF was like for me. It relied more upon the extreme use of elements like humour and melodrama, which frankly took up a lot of time unnecessarily.

I like TF1 better than the second because it had more emotion to it. While the second one gave us for what we asked for as a fan, I think the first one was more easy to identify with because it was simpler. The Fallen kind of came out of no where with this big story that maybe the fans knew, but was a little over the top for regular people. I think when they do the third one, it should go back to its basics again.

I love the first film, because it was such a great treat. Even to this day I can't seem to get enough of the first film, everything from the visual FX to the acting, it was all nicely balanced and showcased.
Second film not so much for me, but thats another rant for another time.
Truth be told I wasn't that into transformers as a child, though I did like the Dinobots. So when I saw this film, I was ensnared instantly by this out of the world concept. Even then, when I saw the first animated film, I was kind of lost at what I was watching, but even then I was captivated by this overall world, and of course there was Unicron.
As for a reason why, I give credit to my artistic nature. I'm a visually driven creature, and Transforming robots are pure eyecandy lets face it. For me, it's a new creative pool for me to dive into and grow as an artist, which Im having alot of fun exploring to say the least ha ha ha.

Josh
