I got a question about the line up in the film.

Any one know why they decided to feature such a small number of Autobots compared to the Decepticons - and why, with the exception of Scorpinok(?), Starscream and Megatron - the Decepticons were given the most original characters and the Autobots don't even get one?

To answer your first question: it was so the Autobots were outnumbered, IIRC.

I'm not to sure what you mean with your second question.

I'm not sure, but I think Barricade, Blackout, and Brawl (if not based off the G-1 combaticon) are kinda/sorta new characters.

Well, they probably wanted a Decepticon car, and Barricade is a better name than Runabout, Runamuck and Wildrider. It also ties in with the police theme.

As for Blackout, well...if I recall correctly, he was originally named Vortex. I don't see why they couldn't have stuck with that name, unless they either didn't want two Combaticons, or they wanted the 'B' alliteration in the Decepticon names. Who knows? Maybe they just wanted to leave their stamp on the franchise.

The name Vortex is awesome, but Blackout kind of hints at the effects of his EMP capability against foes.

Both names rule for a Decepticon.
