Wow, now I need a transforming fridge to put these on.

Hasbro should be ashamed using so much packaging material for 2 blinkin' magnets. Sell 'em loose like everyone else!

Now that's something I could get into; provided they also make some magnets for Starscream, Blackout, and Brawl as well.

QFT. it is not that necessary for that much packaging sometimes....makes it hard to store

Cardboard can be recycled, and I think Hasbro had people who were going to take them out of the packaging in mind when they designed it. Bigger surface area = more presence on the shelf. Simple as that.
Of course, fridge magnets pale into insignificance next to the glory of... the toothbrush:

They look kinda neat. If I come accross them, I might pick them up, but I'm not "hunting" them down.

I got the illustration of Energon Arcee from her package held to my fridge with a magnet.
I just ordered the first deluxe wave of movie toys from Hasbro, and they are shipping me two faction magnets because I bought over $25, and so they can technicly say my order is being shipped as Im getting those now, and my figs that are out in retail already being shipped to me later still. But I got everything for $48(shipping included) so I'm not to angry.
These however I predict we'll find next year in one of Target's dollar bins.

I think the packaging is mainly in place to protect against shoplifters.

For some reason these give me a really good feeling...they will do battle across my non-transforming fridge. (Transforming fridges are bad--they break all the eggs and spill the milk.)

It's funny, I was searching for TF's magnets years ago & I couldn't find a one. Now they start to surface. These aren't what I was expecting though. I might get one pack to just to get Prime. Maybe.

Imagine Leonard Nimoy as Galvatron rewording this line..."Magnets...I want the Matrix!"
