In an article regarding GM's new "Firebreather" Camaro for use in the film, Jinn, Left Lane News mentions Ray Park, famous for his roles in Star Wars, GI Joe and X-men, may soon be adding Transformers in that list. From Left Lane News:

Jinn stars Ray Park, best known for his roles as Darth Maul in “Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace” and Toad in “X-Men.” More recently, Park also played Snake-Eyes in “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.” Park is also expected to have a lead role in “Transformers 3,” but details of his character remain unknown.

I get the feeling this isn't going to materialize, but on an unrelated note: I love that Camaro.

Lead role huh? I bet it is Rodimus.

Judging from the previous roles, he will be a villain, and his roles involved blades of different kinds...

My guess:

bludgeon?!?!?! I don't really see him as a lead role in the next Bayformers...

Rememer Ray Parks is a master at martail arts so that would make since for him to play Bludgeon it seem more likely now that Bludgeon is going to be the main villian in TF 3 now instead of Unicron.


Unicron may be to big of a project to do cause of his immense size and shape it was a major project with Devestator and he was just a 100 tall combiner imagine how time consuming Unicron will be.

Also Bludgeon is a master Martial Artists so it would make since to use Parks for that Role.

I am also curious about who Tony Todd will be playing I say he will likely be a villian again unknown who be cool if he was Thundercracker or Cyclonus he could even do Scourge or be the voice for Galvatron if he gets upgraded to Galvatron.

The more I see on TF 3 the more I get the feeling Unicron isnt going to be in the movie.

Please not as a Voice actor. As motion capture for Bludgeon that would rock mightly but please not as a Voice actor.

If the firebreather camero isn't Hot Rod/Rodimus then it'd better be Tracks.

I don't know what the deal with this car is suppose to be, but Trans Am was a Pontiac and that nameplate is dead. Since they're both GM maybe they're resurrecting some Pontiac names, but it's overpriced for what's really just a Camaro with a fender kit. For $60,000 you could buy a real Trans Am and have it custom built with over 1000 horse power.

If they use it perhaps it would be Cliffjumper.

Ok, there is so much going on in this story, I don't know where to start.
Ray Park has had no speaking roles in any of the movies in which he participated. From what I understand his voice not good. They aren't going to put him in a movie as a voice. I can only imagine that they would use him as a motion capture guy.
So Chevy is making a Firebird edition of the Camaro? Interesting. I like it! I might have to consider trading in my 2000 TA for a new one.
I would like to see Hot Rod show up in the movie. But I don't think they would use a repaint of Bumblebee as Hot Rod.

Sounds cool that Ray Park might be in TF3, but Im more interested whether that Firebreather Camaro will be in there. It looks pretty

My wife is betting on Snake-Eyes, in spite of Hasbro's claims to the contrary.

Im hoping hes reprising his role as Snake Eyes cause a TF GIJOE cross over seems like the only way to salvage this franchise but i doubt it. My guess like many of you is Bludgeon. But they could decide to throw in animated Prowl, it would suck but i wouldnt put it past hasbro to include some Animated characters. They gave us a ROTF Lockdown (best figure in the line)so you never know. Lockdown might have been a test to see how we would react to an animated, rotf mix.

Why is there any confusion or speculation about the Camaro pictured at all? It's not affiliated with GM/Chevy/Pontiac at all. It was built by a film studio and a aftermarket company for another movie. And it looks terrible, like a Knightrider revival *again*.

The car has nothing at all to do with TF. It's a hero car for "Jinn," the movie being discussed in the article and video. It's also not GM beyond the Camaro base, but a custom after-market mod. These movies are tending (put lightly) to advertise cars more than 50 people will be able to order. You want to buy Bumblebee, all you need is money. You want a Firebreather, best bring the money and get in line fast. (Pontimax snuck in while I was writing...agreed on the aesthetics. "Eh.")

As for who Park will play in TF3, being just a voice actor seems unlikely. Hearing him in the video, his voice isn't that bad these days -- it's just not outstanding and he's an actor that loves to do stunts. To leap into voice work would seem like a dull sidestep for an action actor working towards starring roles.

I'm guessing he'll be some kind of human or pretender. The GI Joe angle might be interesting, but I think there's lots of room for both franchises to stand on their own for at least one more sequel. (Besides, the NEST troops are already pretty cool and I don't think they need that kind of support.)

So...can someone tell me when Michigan began to have a growing motion picture industry?

Nice car. Motion capture? Maybe. THat' doesn't seem like ILM's style when it comes to the Transformers movies. I'll believe it when it's officially confirmed.

I wish I knew what everyone's fascination is with Bludgeon. I thought he was always kinda lame personally...there are much better villains in the TF universe to focus a story on than him.

The car pictured is not for tf3 and currently chevy has no plans for a trans am since pontiac is dead.

Honestly, I'm more excited about the car than the voice!!!

I know, I used to be such a big Pontiac fan. I have a 1996 T-top Trans Am and it would be sweet to see a 4th gen TA or a concept TA used in a TransFormers movie.
