Awesome post 5150! I would have to agree with this choice in alt modes. He wouldn't have some flashy, over-the-top vehicle mode. It would be simple and utilitarian.

Wow, great choice. That would make an excellent Hound!

That would indeed make a freakin' sweet Hound, but I highly doubt Michael Bay is listening.

Wow, that is perfect!
I like Hound, he'd be cool in the movie, though I really don't want too many new Autobots...
Even his name:HOUND, it's just awesome.

Perfect for Hound! I have the perfect mode for Soundwave, but I have no Idea what its called. What are those military vehicles in that "new" Hulk movie that shoot like sonic vibrations out of a giant tube or box, I forgot?

I think it was this vehicle here: Image

The one thats not the Hulk. I know it shoots out some sort of wave.

How does SoundWave turn into a big green guy?
Problem is, SoundWave's too big, he's actually quite huge....
On a side note, those really shoot waves? I thought that was just something made up for the movie...

Well, maybe it was made for the movie, I really dont know. But this is how I imagine a movie Soundwave altmode.

Thanks Prime Riblet! I think the most important thing if we do get hound, is that he is a Jeep of some sort. I don't mind GM vehicles being in the movie, but i'll be really dispointed if he ends up being a Hummer or nest type vehicle.

That would be an H1 military Humvee. The "sound wave" attachments were just made for the movie. But i see where your going with this though. Kind of fits the bill for a movie version of Sound Wave the same way the tuner van fit for animated Sound Wave.

Whats wrong with that? i think bay and co. have worked all the GM products in very well. As long as the alt modes fit the character, then i don't see whats wrong with it.

Ratchet is already a Humvee so I don't see that working.

Now THIS is the perfect alt mode for soundwave. It is called the Boeing EA-18G Growler. It is a electronic warfare plane. It is used for type for radar jamming, communications jamming and information operations like signals interception.

It does seem more sense to have him be something that has those sort of capabilities, I never thought about that before. O_O

No, Ratchet is an H2 hummer, not a Humvee. The only real simularity is in the name. two completly differnet vehicles.

It was a Repulsor Ray, like Iron Man uses. At the beginning, you can see a blueprint of the weapon with the Stark Industries logo.
