I'm not sure if this is the first time Transformers from 2007 has been on network television. Even though I've seen it dozens of times and have the DVD, I still can't resist sitting down and watching it yet again.

Yes, this was the first time it aired on network television. I was shocked and surprised to see it actually air on ABC, but it having it air on ABC made me feel like a kid again and I was thrilled.

Anyone else remember ABC in the '80s? They showed James Bond, Superman II (with extra footage), and if you were like me, you always wanted to see TransFormers the movie on their movie night. (which never happened) ABC was the shiznit when it came to movies on TV, back then. So, finally having ABC actually air TransFormers as their movie of the week...*sighs* Awesome feeling. Simply awesome. I truly did feel like a kid again.

Now, onto the movie itself.

1.) This definitively proves that these movies need to be trimmed down for time, badly. The pace was quicker, the film was actually watchable. Once the boringness was removed from the experience, I actually had a pretty okay time watching the first movie, for the first time in a long time.

2.) The cut scenes proved that there is just too much filler and wasted time, and the scenes that were excised were detrimental to the movie. After seeing this cut, I now see how pointless and unimportant Bumblebee's pissing scene really is.

3.) The language was cut down to a minimum, and I have to say that less harsher words does actually help the experience. It was nice not hearing sh*t, etc. I look forward to seeing the TV premiere of ROTF for that alone.

I was definitely impressed by this cut of the film, and I'm sad I removed it from my DVR now. I just can't bring myself to put the DVD or Blu-Ray back in the player at this point, not when I know there's a far superior cut of the film. Too bad it's unattainable.

Oh, and by the way, the rumored "extra" footage was Bobby Bolivia's mother waving him away, instead of giving him the finger. I'm not sure if it was a scene they actually filmed and it didn't make it into the final cut, or it was digitally edited afterward, but it looked seamless and it impressed me how it took out that unnecessary crap gesture without sacrificing the scene.

Kudos ABC, you have impressed me. Now, get your hands on ROTF and do the same thing. Hurry, chop chop!

It was hard to believe Transformers was shown on network television (I had only watched small portions of it; I already have Transformers on two DVDs). I hadn't expected ABC to show it (and I don't expect CBS or NBC to show it, either). If Transformers was gonna be shown on network television, I thought The CW, Fox or My Network TV would be the networks to show it.

I saw it and I thought it was way better! I wasnt bored with the TV version like when I watch the DVD. Maybe I was just so excited that it was on TV to even care. But I did leave from when Sam whent to his house looking for the glasses to the part when Optimus comes and rips Bonecrusher's head off. That long period of the movie always bored me. BUT...I dont see why they always took out the word ****. **** isnt that bad of a word. I actually started watching from the Scorpinock attack scene. My mom was flipping through the channels and saw the movie, she called me down from my room and I watched it!
