Flickr.com member JebusHChrist has posted some footage from the set of Transformers 3 showing off a presumed stunt showcasing the collapse of an office building.

JebusHChrist wrote:Full scale model of an office building, flanked by two huge hydraulic jacks that lift one end 30 to 40 feet in the air. I guess they are going to have a scene with soldiers in there while it is destroyed and collapses. A moment after this shot, two stuntmen slid down the length of the office floor. Looked like they were wearing uniforms and had weapons.

I'm pretty sure the exterior facade is an exact match of the nearby Horizons office complex (brand new but still vacant), where they will be filming some additional scenes. So I guess they will show that building collapsing. Better than having MySpace move in...

Shot at the former Hughes Aircraft factory lot in "Playa Vista". That huge building at far left is the hangar where the Spruce Goose was built or assembled.

Ya know, this news report (along with others) has me thinking...I miss the days when a movie would come out and you knew NOTHING about it other than maybe the trailer you saw on TV. I mean, by the time TF3 comes out, we're gonna know 80% of the movie! Doesn't that ruin the excitement?

To all the G1 fans, don't you remember when all you knew of "Transformers: The Movie" was the mention of the movie at the end of the toy commercials and maybe a sticker on the boxes?

Am I alone on this?

BTW, sorry, Razorclaw, I'm not trying to hijack your news!

A collasping building, great, but I'm going to reserve judgement until we see the context for it.

Nope,
I want to know about as much as possible before I invest anytime with pretty much any film. Especially with hollywood producers and marketing ploys in general fabricating "hype" so a guy shows up just to be let down. Last thing I'll trust is a trailer:

Godzilla looks awesome!
Fail

Spiderman 3 is going to have Venom!
Fail

X-Men 3 has Juggernaut and Phoenix!
Fail

Wolverine is featuring Deadpool!
Uberfail (Not epic, Ryan did manage to save something out of that role...not much but it was something)

Yeah, devulge away news team. Be it the new Victoria eye candy for transformers or the possible black spiderman (Not suit, an african american spiderman) for the 4th film, I want to know it all!

You said it perfectly. I agree with you.
