Bay: "we're getting rid of what I call the dorky comedy in TF3"

Great news: No dorky humor, little screen time with the Twins, Shockwave as a villain.
Bad news: TF3 in 3D (conversion). Although Bay said that he shot a test material for 3D and didn't like the results Paramount made him do it just for the 3$ more on a ticket.

damn you paramount!!!! :P

well its nice to see Bay wasnt lying about not wanting 3D and it was actually forced upon him. but post conversion is good in his eyes since it wont affect his filming style or whatever. but yeah if people complained about the bad 3D for Titans, i can only imagine how bad this one will look with his style.

and i love how he admitted paramound just wanted this for the extra money, i mean everyone knows thats why everyone is jumping on the retarded bandwagon but its funny to see it being said. lol of course the drawback in my particular case, this probably means the IMAX version will be 3D so i'll have to see this in a regular theater...damn. (not that IMAX makes that big a difference but still lol)

Most stuff I hear coming from Bay I just cannot bring myself to believe. Once a liar, always a liar.

We shall see.

This better not be his idea of the "TF3 Mis-information" campaign bullshit, but I guess the earning Raspberry Award hurt his ego somehow.

Remember people, he said "no dorky humour"...not "no more penis jokes".

I think he's doing 'dorky humour' a tremendous dis-service.

Hey, getting rid of the cheap comedy and focusing on the plot and characters (which sound promising based on the recent news) could be just what the third movie needs to be a fantastic climax to the trilogy (and much better than ROTF). The comedy in TF2 was just too much, and it kept being distracting and killing the pace of the story. If Bay stays true to his word, I think TF3 will be quite awesome.

Will there be a 2D version available? IIRC all the recent 3D movies have had 2Ds as well, just saw "How to Train Your Dragon" in 2D.

Or TF3 will be 30 minutes long. :KREMZEEK:

I hope they don't kill off any of my favorites.

The comedy drop is definitely making me happy though. Wayy to much in the last film.

:D Man, I'm SO excited about this movie, I hope the game coming up is good too.

And no more grossly uncalled for...what some try to push on as...humor right???

And no more of the twins??

Hope Sam's mother isn't in the third one. She makes me cringe. I can't stand her.

Would be nice if they toned down the cursing as well. The second movie was worse than the first. And there's not even a call for it.

Hopefully the tradition stands where both a 2D and a 3D, version of the movie is release, like they did with AVATAR. Some of us are prone Migraines. And 3D media can be a real trigger. While others experience seizures. May not be alot within the population which have to deal with this...but there are those who do.

And Shockwave? WOOHOO! No Unicron!!! :KREMZEEK:

30 minutes? I think we're being generous.

I wouldn't mind if there was a 2D version.

Windsweeper wrote:Don't mind the Twins. JUST GET RID OF LEO!!!!

I'm the same. The Twins aren't so bad, but I don't see the point of Leo.

Sagitta wrote:Hope Sam's mother isn't in the third one. She makes me cringe. I can't stand her.

Really? I wouldn't mind if she got into the brownies again.

I hope Mikaela took that leg-humping mech I refuse to qualify as a Transformer (much less with a name) when she left (or got fired), though. That was too much.

Ugh, tell me about it. She acted so dumb.

Alot of the so called "humor" was nothing more than crudity. Theres nothing funny about most of it.

:-(

Urgh, well Micheal Bay is a chronic liar.
To be honest, I have had high hopes that this movie would suck just as much, if not more so than the last.
And then, maybe Micheal Bay and his trilogy could finally be universally regarded as the rubbish they are. And thus halt any damaging effects they've had on Transformers for the future.

And 3D is lame. I went to see the movie Avatar, and the only thing that ever seemed to jump out of the screen were the advertisements beforehand, oh and Sigourney Weaver's cigarette smoke for some reason.
Whatever the case, your eyes just eventually adjust and you stop noticing it, or at least it was that way for me.

Yes! Yes! YES! That is the only thing hat I felt was bad about the first 2 movies! (Except for that long period in the first movie where nothing happens.) And I just hope Bay can shoot those fast action scenes with a 3D camera. Maybe he could shoot it in 2D and some how make it 3D.

Just thought about it, but shouldn't anything Bay says be posted as a rumor? He's not exactly a reliable source. :BUTTHEAD:

ITA. I usually have a lot of tolerance for bathroom humor, but the previous 2 movies, esp. ROTF, made me cringe.

Good. Why did they put dorky humor in the first place ??? The only cool joke was with Devastators "balls". But the twins, sam's mom, and agents simmon's thong was horrible. I have never seen a movie in 3D before so I dont really care about 3D...

Well most movies that are 3-D have 2-D versions of the movie as well, soooo. There will most likely be a 2-D version. (And I'm gonna be honest I prefer 2-D over 3-D).

Oh, well ok then. I liked the dorky humor myself. But sports cars were by far more interesting than the twins. I want to see more Sideswipe and Jolt (Bluestreak would make an awesome addition too) :P
