What did they do to the stunticons?

Why did I think the stunticons were going to be cool. When I heard the stunticons were going to be in transformers three I thought four high end sports cars with black cabover semi with a trailer leading them against the autobots. But no we got three armored nascar cars yet another great creative design idea from the people who brought us devastator's big balls. I can just see the creative meeting that came up with that idea hey were not getting enuff of the nascar crowd I have any idea we create three armored nascar cars and call them the stunticons.

First mistake, you assumed movie-verse TFs would have the same alt-modes as their G1 counterparts.
(Though ROTF DLX Dead End is a pretty good homage to G1 Dead End/Wildrider)
With the ridiculous number of car-Bots/Cons now and Hasbro not finishing the Constructicons because they didn't want too many construction vehicles out on the market, I'm glad the Stunticons aren't 'regular' cars. I'd be more worried if they are able to keep some form of personality.

Also, hope they don't get the redeco treatment as toys.

Who said that the nascar cars are stunticons? This is just a fan interpretation and nothing is official yet. I think that the idea of introducing sports cars in the feature film is great. We have enough fancy looking "civil" cars. And of course everybody has a different vision for everything and the director can't make everyone to agree with his vision of things.

At this point between the look of the NASCARs and the known "Autobots go home" plot point, I'm thinking these aren't even transformers, but either Human weapons for combating Cybertronians, or weird hybrids from a all-spark shard, rather than Decepticons of any subfaction.

And lets face it if we have stunticons we should have Menasor. I don't think there is enough space for another combiner villain. And the stunticons are 4, here we have 3 cars. The nascar cars are closest to the omnibots.

Well, for my intents, they are not Stunticons, and when I or my my brother learn how to customize, we'll make some actual ones I guess....
I'm usually not one for G1 accuracy, but this was a bit overkill....
I like the idea of the anti-Cybertronian weapons....

Just because someone elses idea differs than yours does not make it a bad one. Besides, your going off rumored info right now. We don't even know if these are stunticons.
And why do people think this is some attempt to bring in Nascar fans?? Granted, when people (mainly in the U.S.) think of "race cars", many will think of Nascars right off the bat. My guess is this is why they chosen.

But Devastator looked AWESOME in the movies! Well, to me at least...
It was the use of him that was awful...

First, I have to go with the obligatory "we don't know for sure..." blah blah blah. Okay, now that that's out of the way, it's things like that why I groan and roll my eyes every time I read someone say that TF3 better have/needs to have Unicron, the Dinobots or whoever else.
Here's hoping that it turns out they weren't the Stunticons

There has to be a first time for everything
Seriously though, I just joined, and saw this threat, and being a stunticon fan, I had to check it out.

Guys It's not 80's. Exclusive sport cars aren't seen as stunt cars and name 'stunticons' refer to it. Back in the 80's stunticons were just bunch of sport and racing cars. I think Bay could come up with idea that stunticons must look more agressive and unique. Also I'm almost sure that they won't be named in the movie

Humans used whole army to take down some cons in ROTF and now they would do the same

But the idea of bots created from a all-spark shard sounds really interesting!

Like wild animals that need to be catched

I never said they had to look like the original stunticons, or at least not exactly. I just personally think these look like crap. Hopefully, it's all been a misunderstanding and that's not what they are supposed to be

Now this I could agree with

that sounds like it could be interesting

I agree, but from the looks of these cars, IF they turn out to be Stunticons and IF said Stunticons means Menasor, I don't think he'd be too sturdy looking. Devastator worked because he was made out of chunky, sturdy vehicles, but these cars seem like they'd be too dainty as limbs. I guess you could take the Devastator route and have like 100 possible robots that could combine to form Menasor, but it seems like you'd almost have to have multiple robots to form each body part. Like, two robots equalling one leg, and while I know it's prefectly fine to have new ideas and such, that just doesn't strike me as a good one.
Aside from that, I'd hope Menasor wouldn't just copy the Devastator body plan, but would have a different appearance. Like in G1, all the combiners look essentially the same? I'd hope movie Menasor if he exists wouldn't just look like Devastator made up of cars, but would look different.

My bet on the three car is that they are either Prowl/Smokescreen/Silverstreak or Grimlock and co.

Road Caesar. Laster, Blacker and Braver. They had a weaponized mode (as did the Stunticons), and a three car combination to RC. Granted it was a pretty ugly combined robot, but probably no uglier in movie magic terms than the prehistoric beastly Devastator.
Not that I care, movie-verse is the last bit of TFs for me. As in the 1st bit I care less about.

Absolutely agree with you on that one.
But I'm going to take a cautious approach to this, I have lowered my hopes and expectations, after the abortion that was ROTF I can't bring myself to think the 3rd one is going to be boarderline acceptable.
The Stunticons are my favourite combiner team. I won't be impressed if the mess it up, but hey, Bay slaughtered the mythos when he made the fallen.

The site administrator af Michael Bay's forum confirmed that the Nascar cars are niether Stunticons nor Omnibots. So let the speculations continue.
The posibility of an armed human vehicles seems more probable to me now.

I did, atleast in this thread.
And the more I hear, the more I feel that's the case.

1) It sucked because they got a new writer. The same writer who added the Devastator balls joke, wheelie humping megan foxx's leg, (frankly I feel bad for wheelie. that leg was probably coated with herpies)
2) It's a totally different continuity. It doesn't have to follow the mythos. It't the same way super hero movies aren't exactly the same as the comics or shows. It is BASED of Transformers, that means it doesn't have to be exactly the same. Only require meant is they gave the same names to characters. SO STOP YOUR BITCHING
