It's still 1 year away but with all the video and photos going up on Seibertron every day, I was wondering what everyone else is thinking about possible new movie toys.

If Shockwave is going to be the new lead villain, will we finally see a G1 Shockwave reissue as a result (or at least a G1 modelled Classics Voyager/Ultra class figure)?

Is Menasor is in the movie will we see an Autobot combiner (maybe Superion?) and also a G1 reissue?

How can they keep Optimus Prime/Starscream/Bumblebee fresh after so many different versions of the same figures?

With lots of minor Bumblebee re-tools, and then repaint those re-tools ad-infinitum

Stunticon Combiner, would love to see it, but given the way the Movie Devastator Toys were treated, I wouldn't hold my breath. I will bet, however, that they are all repainted into their G1 colours and store exclusified...

As for shockwave, no clue, the ROTF-Soundwave wasn't the best homage in my book, but I could see where they were going with it, we'll just have to wait.

Retools are definite but it depends if this is the last planned movie or the last planned Bay movie. A lot of obscure characters have come out to support the previous two movie toy lines (at the expense of G1) and if Hasbro has half a brain they'll release a g2 25th anniversary line shortly. So ultimately they'll release things they aren't planning to put into lines competing with TF3 or War for Cybertron 2, and use background vehicles to add some options.
I'd be happy to see a Taxi cab, the mysterious red jeep, Nascars in both Autobot and Decepticon format. Redone in Human alliance format as well.
If this movie is the end for now, it will be milked for all it's worth: Alliance Optimus, all the decepticon jets...you name it...if it isn't i'd expect a recolour (and naming) of all the TF1 and RoTF toys. At least Hasbro uses individual heads for same body characters now...sometimes...

I would love to have a Leader class Optimus with trailer! But i'll settle for a Voyager class. As long as we get a toy trailer for Optimus.

Id say this upcoming Toyfair will reveal alot, both toy quality and movie design wise.

As for the toys themselves, well if Hasbro had enough time and Bot designs were finalized soon enough, I'd say the toys should be better in terms of the 1st movie toy line that was released. In better I mean random parts that don't pop off, joints that fold properly and can hold their own weight (My Soundwave can't stand worth beans)Cleaner head molds, and better packaging.

Verses this year, where we had alot of issues with joins, popped off parts, a megatron whom doesn't have an elbow in his right arm, miss aligned pieces causing transformation havock (I had to alter a joint in leader class Megs just so he could properly transform into his tank mode without the legs popping and sprawling) so on and so forth. I blame the late developemtn though, just as the film was struggling to get a script out, concepts were surley late coming too and therefore Hasbro had to rush concepts leading to half way transformation designs.

So next year, hopefully Hasbro has enough time wth the designs to properly tool the toys and fix all the issues and such.

I would also put some money on the movie seeker mould getting repainted into Thrust and Dirge. All six would have then been put out across the three films.

For 90% of the canon movie character's toys to be outright awful and for the majority of the good toys to come from video game/comic book tie in characters or homage characters not featured in the movie like the last two toylines.

I would expect the next step in Auto-morph and Mech-alive technology. It'll probably be something like leader class activators or something.

1. Legends - There will probably be next version of Optimus Prime, hopefully with a trailer. Maybe a retool of Bumblebee. Since the rumors, maybe a redeco and slight retool of 1. Megatron. most likely also redecos of Starscream, Ironhide, Ratchet, maybe Soundwave. Hopefully Shockwave too.

2. Deluxe - New mold of Bumblebee, slight retools of Sideswipe, the Twins. The Einstein-bot. Hopefully improved retool of Soundwave, maybe even Shockwave(but unlikely). The NASCAR-bots´, Ferrari and the jeep. maybe even renamed redeco of Ravage.

3. Voyager - Maybe redecos and slight retools Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream. Certainly redeco of Ironhide, Ratchet. Shockwave probably, as well as the Fire-truck. Maybe even the Armoured truck-decepticon

4. Leader - Maybe new molds or retools of Optimus Prime and Megatron, hopefully Starscream. We may expect Shockwave, maybe even Unicron(as rumoured, he was supposed to be there).

5. Supreme - Combiners (like ROTF Devastator). If, then most likely Unicron.

That's what should be, or at least I can think of

I WONDER WHAT THEY WILL DO OR HOW THEY WILL DESIGN THE CONVERTIBLE CORVETTE SIDESWIPE. HOW WILL THEY USE THE SEATS? WILL THEIR BE SEATS? OR WILL IT MOST LIKELY BE SIDESWIPE FROM ROTF WITH A SHINIER COLOR SILVER :sad:

I expect a leader class shockwave( as he is the lead villain in tf3), possibly new megs mold. A new optimus prime mold and soundwave mold.Also a redeco of rachet with that white stripe thing, and another version of bumblebee. Possibly new supreme Superion as silverbolt has been cast in the movie. But what would a supreme superion be without a supreme menasor.
