Hey all Seibertron(ians) I was just on TFW and found...
http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-just-movie-31/nelson---no-jolt-for-transformers-3-170344/
So it seems Jolt is no longer in the movie, which sucks because he was very cool...

So they can have the Einstein bot but not Jolt?

Jolt is not going to be in Transformers 3.

What will be the fate of the Autobot's electric car?

It's not like he was really in the second movie to start with.

That some serious bull. He was one that I was hoping might actually get rectified in TF3 with some actual characterization.

It's a big planet. He may be somewhere else fighting the 'Cons. Can't say this is a spoiler though. I expected this with the lack of his alt mode present at shoots.

Like Knockout, Longarm, etc?

Yeah, this kinda sucks though.
I thought he was pretty cool.

Jolt's robot form was great but the car was lame. I don't think the TF universe will suffer much from his absence. Better to have some new bots.

Of course he's out. They killed one of the Arcee bots in ROTF, Jazz in TF1 while Ratchet and Sideswipe got little screen time. Apart from Bumblebee and Prime, they don't like to show the cool Autobots. It will be more Twins and Ironhide (sorry I don't like him, an unfunny insult to G1 Ironhide) and that awful looking Einstein bot.

Not trying to start the whole discussion of "so-and-so had halfa second of screen time in this fight scene" argument again, but the above quote is very true. I don't see why people should be so stunned or hurt by this news, as Jolt had ever so brief the role in ROTF. Like, were Prime or BB not included, this could be a big deal, since then there'd be like, no robots in the thrid movie.

Still, I'm sorry for fans of Jolt that he's off the casting sheet.

That's pretty dissapointing. I really liked Jolt's appearance and was really hoping he would be back in the 3rd movie. It's kind of sad to see the most neglected but arguably most important robot (storywise) in the second movie get kicked from the main cast. Hopefully they can at least make a nice new figure for him.

It may have a lot to do with the fact that Chevy is writing off the actual release of car as a total dud.

But, yes, his appearance in the second film wasn't exactly pivotal.

I feel sorry for all of the artists that created Jolt. From concept to digital creation to animation, it's a heck of a lot of work to just throw away. I doubt they'll even give a reason for his absence. Most likely just act like he never existed at all.

On the plus side IDW comics will likely make sense of it.

His alt-mode WAS lame but...
Seriously, removing him and adding the Einstein-Bot?
I think everyone would prefer Jolt over that...
Oh cool, it got front page'd and stuff ^_^

WEll, Jolt is pretty prominent in the current IDW in movie continuity NEFARIOUS series. Perhaps he has something happen to him there, thus, taking him effectively out of the third movie.

They could have just left him behind rather than kill him off -made him Sams' Dads' new Transformer Pal, as Bumblebee is to Sam.
Kinda like: "I wish to stay with the Boys' Father".

He was an illuminator in g2, I actually have the toys: all antique style bots that had built in lights which illuminated their swords, so the electro thingy he did with Prime & Jetfires' remains was fitting. I think he was Hot Shots' minicon in Armada.

So...you like that there's the Einstein thing over him?
That's just what mainly bugs me, Einstein being in the movie and Jolt not being in it...
