Damn, if only I were back home at the end of August! I would so be there. The nice thing about filming in Detroit vs. Chicago? No need to make elaborate sets to represent destruction and carnage...Detroit looks like that every day.

As a metro-Detroiter, it all depends which part of Detroit they film in. If they're anywhere Downtown like they were during movie 1, those parts are actually pretty nice. So be careful not to generalize the whole city; it does have its redeeming qualities.

I already sent in my stuff, as did a few of my friends. Hope to get the call! *anxious* :D

Don't get me wrong, I love my former home city (Moved from Kalamazoo for a few years). It just saddens me how poorly D-town continues to do. I think of the beautiful view of downtown from Comerica park...then seeing how many of those buildings are actually empty shells once you walk to your parking area and look at them from behind...http://zfein.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
