There is still hope for Jolt.

Hi guys!

Here is some interesting info for all the Jolt lovers. According to TFW2005 forum member Janeails22x who has a friend working in GMC Volt's appearance for Chicago was postponed and now it is scheduled for D.C.
So maybe Jolt will appear in Washington (they will shoot a car race there) and gets killed. I don't know but still there is some hope for him to be in the movie (although Nelson said "No Jolt").
Here is the exact quote from Janeails22x's post:

Me: "Apparently your Volt isn't making the cut. Michael Bay's right hand man just revealed that it's not in the movie."

Him: "Really? That's news to me."

Me: "Why do you say that? It's not in Chicago like you said it was planned."

Him: "Well, it's still on the schedule at work. The movie people have not canceled the delivery. It actually says D.C. now, not Chicago."

I've been meaning to ask this: why all the hoopla over Jolt? He was in RoTF for what, 5 seconds? I mean, the toy looked alright, but seriously, am I missing something? What is the big deal over this character?

Because his 5 seconds of fame were still better then everything from the twins.

Why do people make a big hoopla over Aurrie Singh when she was less than 5 seconds in Star Wars Episode 1 (or any Bounty Hunter for that matter)? Why do people make a big hoopla over Sideways when he's in the beginning of ROTF long enough to get sliced in half by Sideswipe?

I don't necessarily believe in karma but I think it's the closest explanation for this kind of phenomenon. Certain characters, regardless of how little exposure they get, attracts a sizeable fanbase. I think the mysteriousness of a character can draw people in just as much as a well revealed, and portrayed character.

:APPLAUSE:

For me, as an artist and whatnot, I'm just happy one of the "GOOD" robot designs from ROTF made it into TF3, honestly I would hope they drop all the half-baked designs like:

The RC Toy
The Twins
The Arcee Triplets (No, I'm not arguing if they were triplets or not, cause I really don't give a damn... )

Sure there were others but drop these, and give well deserved screentime to the Awesome robot designs like Sideswipe and Jolt. I can't say the same for the Decepticons because any design I didn't like or liked was killed. Hopefully they don't pull more "cloning" BS. The only thing I'm slightly fearing is another overflow of Bots....like in ROTF, there will be so many bots not enough screen time will be dispersed to each respected bot...or worse yet just given to the twins for no reason in which all other new bots will be given a hearty 5 second moment to shine....grrr

Personally I think that Arcee triplets were more interesting than Jolt. I'm not trying to argue If she had better design or not. As Blackstreak said
I think the mysteriousness of a character can draw people in just as much as a well revealed, and portrayed character.

Arcee had potential as a swift fighter next to Sideswipe. I would like to see more of Arcee's acting and interacting with others. And I hate the fact that Bay killed them because he just didn't like them :?

Didn't we see a few Barricade Mustangs being towed around before ROTF started shooting? Until we see Jolt being filmed in action, I won't hold out hope.

EDIT- I should say that I like both of Jolt's modes, and I'd like to see him developed, or at least in action- what can those whips do to baddies?

There is hope, but along with what Hip Hoptimus said, it may turn out to be a dud.
Nothing is certain til the final cut??

Long has Rodimus' question haunted my very being, but Blackstreaks' answer soothes it.

You know i don't get all the hate for the Twins.

People bitched and complained about the TF not having enough character development. The Twins probbly had more Character and personality than most bots in the film, but people still bitch and complain. You may not have liked them, but you can't deny we were given what we asked for. And no, please don't come back with..

"We didn't ask for racist dumb comic reliefs".

If anyone is still stuck on the whole rasist issue, then you seem to portray there behavior with certain ethnic groups. Not Micheal Bay, not the Producers, not hasbro. YOU!

As for Jolt, if he makes it back then cool. One more Autobot to add to the Mix. If not, then no biggie either.

I figured he'd go the way of Barricade... Just fade away with no explanation.
(well outside the comics anyway)

It would be nice to see closure for Jolt. Or at least more screen time.

I hope he's in it, but I'm not necessarily holding my breath. And this may be an extremely shallow reason to want him in, but he's the only blue Autobot of the bunch. They've had black, yellow, green, red, and silver, but he's the only blue (if you don't count Optimus). Not to mention the fact that his whips were a very interesting addition, on par with Ratchet's fold-out shield/buzzsaw weapon from the first film (that we saw for all of 3 seconds).

To be honest, though, I'd much rather see Barricade return for a rematch with BB. Fans have been clamoring for his return for far longer than Jolt's, and there's no way Bay couldn't have noticed by now. But, like with Jolt, I'm not holding my breath. Barricade was a fairly major character in the first film, so I'm guessing that since he didn't make the cut in ROTF, Bay has probably moved on and isn't considering wasting robot space on a character that already got plenty of screen time.

What I personally want, more than any of the new character additions, is some real character development for Ratchet. I'm biased, since he's my favorite 'Bot, but the few times he actually spoke up, he came across as highly intelligent and sensible. I'd love to see him interact with a human Wheeljack counterpart, some engineer or scientist that could go head to head with him and possibly cooperate to build new anti-Decepticon weaponry for the humans (although Optimus sort of forbade this in ROTF). I'm guessing since this is the final film in the trilogy, though, that it'll be a whole lot of Bumblebee coming into his own, paralleling Sam's growth and maturity. That's not necessarily a bad thing (in fact, it'd feel somewhat disjointed if it wasn't included), but I'm just hoping they balance things out a bit more this time around with the other bots. Movie 1 gave the core Autobots their spotlight, ROTF gave the Decepticons the much-needed screen time, and now the third film needs to flesh out some of the more minor characters and bit players. This shouldn't be a stretch, since all of the main characters on both sides of the war have been fairly well-developed at this point, and really only need a little growth in this next one to satisfy the audience.

The new blue Mercedes, "Q", should fill that void for you if Jolt doesn't return.
