TheWrap has gotten its hands on an email which they claimed is leaked from Paramount, which has status updates on many movies that are still in the very early stages of development. Interesting titles include GI Joe 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, World War Z, Zoolander 2 and others.

One that may catch the eye of us Transformers-loving fans is a project dubbed "Hasbro Factory" which is billed as a "Night in the Museum" type movie, just in a factory instead. It appears that they are looking for writers to submit ideas for the story.

Paramount has claimed that this article contains true and untrue information, so at this time, we're calling this a rumour until more information is received. See the entire article here.

This is taking a pretty big step in the "to sell toys" department.

And I'm thinking of a cross between Antz and Puppet Master, but that's probably just me remembering the first time I saw Toy Story and pondered the horrible, horrible fate of all the non-TFs in my room if my whole collection came to life.

And what about ones that were taken apart or kitbashed? (shudder) I'm giving a sex change to 4 of them in my basement as I type...

I'm sure it's going to be something like Burn said "Night At The Museum & Small Soldiers". But the B class Full Moon Productions, horror/camp lover in me is dying for it to be something akin to Puppet Master VS Demonic Toys. That would be so awesome! Imagine Galvatron, nutty as all get out, psychotically(sp?) stalking Rodimus's wimpy whiny butt.

The toy story movies have the emotional weight to them, night at the museum as the historical backdrop, so, this will probably just be a full on 90 minute commercial.

Hmm, living Transformers that are miniature? This could get interesting....

Just watch, Optimus and Megatron are gonna be the best of friends.

I think we're forgetting that a "Hasbro Factory" movie will involve toys from ALL their lines. This means that no matter how aggressive and true to character our favorite Decepticons and Cobra agents get to be in acts 1 and 2, by the end of the movie they'll be forced to attend a tea party with My Little Pony. Because it's (shudder) funny irony that the kids can understand.

Then again, Iron Man 2 had some jokes that I never thought I'd see outside of Toyfare magazine. If Hasbro has as good a sense of humor about their toys' appearances in Robot Chicken, the final act might feature the ultimate team-up of all their most iconic characters to fight the 4 Little Ponies Of The Apocalypse!

My money's on a live-action My Little Pony trilogy.

We know that there are thousands of Transformer toys out there. If they add all the other figures, vehicles, games, etc., it's going to give the animators, storyboarders, etc. a massive headache. The cast list could approach a million! I believe that Hasbro has archives where they store old toys, blueprints, etc. Those would have to be tapped for the movie.

Toy Story 3 has been extremely popular and has caused big increases in demand for the toys featured. That's the motivation for this proposed movie.

I wonder if the Transformers in this movie could use their knowledge of advanced electronics and engineering to build themselves better bodies, take over computers and eventually dominate the Earth. In other words, the toy movie could lead into a Bay movie.

Agreed, but if hasbro did decide to do a "Night at the Toy Factory" it would probably end up like Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and not a gritty adult-friendly concrete box with meet hooks and conveyer belts like we know they are like where Chinese people work long hours to provide us with petty enjoyment.

But a Gi Joe Transformer battle on a conveyer belt would be cool, especially if the My Little Ponies rode in breathing giant LASERS of DEATH!!!

I wonder if this Hasbro-Brand toy movie could be connected to their acquirement of the 70s Micronauts toyline, which JJ Abrams is said to be making a movie version of:

For those that don't know - this was a range of toys, like Transformers, which were based on the Japanese 'Microman' line of toys. MicroNAUTS were meant to be from somewhere called the microverse, and were the size of action figures in our universe!

As for MicroMAN - the concept was a bit different - they were visitors to earth from another world. Microman figures were the "actual" size of the real thing, and were marketed as being real 'cyborgs' that disguised themselves as toys while on Earth!

Seems to fit a potential toy-story like premise don't you think? Albeit it one where the 'toys' are really aliens!

Small Soldiers was freking awesome! I loved that movie when I was 3! Hasbro needs to remake that! Or either have a sequel.

they should I loved that movie and toys not as much as beastwars which is why I only had four of the small soldiers figures

On a side note, what happened to Makall's name, wasn't it green?

Oh wait...so Hasbro factory is living toys in Hasbro?
As much as I like Hasbro, Toy Story is something I like much, much more.
