Hi!

We have some new confirmations about TF3 set locations at Kennedy Space Center plus some new possibilities. Here you can read the article (posted by TLAMB):
http://www.collectspace.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/004169.html
And now the sci-fi part. :) According to the article:
"A shuttle launch pad, one of the crawler vehicles that move the space shuttle and the KSC Vehicle Assembly Building are expected to be depicted in the film, King said in a news release."
Now take a look at the crawler that they use in the Space Center:

This will make one huuuge badass decepticon. Right? I know it's most unlikely but who knows. ;) The possibility is great.
And here is a reference of the things they will depict in the film (launch pad + crawler + shuttle):

Umm... I got a feeling it's not a Decepticon.

Add some CGI and they can include a shuttle, fuel tank, and boosters. Add all those in, it'd be perfect for Omega Supreme.

If it is he won't be able to move very fast in vehicle mode.

Brawl in TF1 and some of the Constructicons in ROTF were slow moving too.

When i think Space Shuttle, despite the fact it is a military funded vehicle, it's uses are scientific, not military, which makes me think it's an Autobot. Maybe Bay will finally use that Aircraft Carrier he's wanted to do for that large Decepticon we've heard about.

it's possible it's his last film it's the most expensive movie so far maybe he rented time on an aircraft carrier for filming

I hope the shuttle is Astrotrain or Blast-off...

I don't really care about the table with treads so far.

I think that would be a very good decision. It would be awesome.

Here is another location update:
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/polit ... 51424.html
The Washington DC shoot was pushed back to the second week of October. A few days ago Don Murphy said that they have six weeks of shooting left. This makes mid of October so I guess he meant only the US sets. We still haven't heard anything about the international spots that were mentioned a few months ago (Russia, Africa, China). Also obviously there won't be a Texas shoot that was rumored.
So in the next few weeks the crew will be in Detroit, Florida (Kennedy Space Center) and finally in DC.

Like stated earlier, that thing would be slow. It is VERY slow. Like less-than-10-miles-an-hour slow. A-preteen child-could-probably-out-run-it-if-they-really-tried slow.

If I were filmig this, I would totally make a badass 1-on-1 fight scene on it. And while they're fighting, it starts to transform. I personally think that'd look cool.

If the toy was at all in scale, I wouldn't be able to fit it in my house!

It goes 1 MPH when a shuttle is on it, 2 MPH when its empty. I was told that when I was at the Space Center some years ago.

As for the shuttle, it can't be Armada Jetfire, because that name was already wasted on a piece of **** character. Hopefully it's not Sky Lynx. Never liked the name or the character. But this aircraft carrier I keep hearing about, that would be cool if it was Tidal Wave.

hmmm A space bridge had a short range in the movie and I doubt that earth has enough power for a Protoform launcher... I wonder if Sam turns this into Silverbolt by the power of the Allspark at the end for the Autobots to go home? :-?

Excuse me??? Jetfire had exellent character devlopment as well as lots of screen time. Easily one of the best character of the movieverse.

Ohhhh, no-holds-barred, knock-down, drag-out, fight to end all fights between Decepti-carrier ("Tidal Wave! Tidal Wave! Tidal Wave!") and Auto-shuttle (gotta go w/ Sky Lynx)! :APPLAUSE:
That'd be worth the price of admission right there.

I disagree. He may have had screen time, but in the movieverse, he wasn't a must-have character, especially not as an old codger. The only good part he had was when Prime used his dead body as a steroid shot. Bottom line, which is what I was trying to convey to begin with, the name befits a much better quality character. After knowing Jetfire in the G1 comics and even in Armada, compared to them RoTF Jetfire is indeed a POS. The Blackbird was a cool alt. mode though. But the transformation sucked and the robot mode looked like crap.

Bah! Hastak wouldn't do anything nearly as frightening as making a TF in scale.

I don't know what vehicle they'll use, but I did find out that they will have a big Decepticon that's supposed to knock over a building (which, of course, Sam is in), but that's totally awesome!!! :D

Over to the NASA space flight forum, a member said:
"Sounds like they will be filming out here at the pad on Wed. Will be rolling the crawler up and down the slope, plus RSS should be at park for the payload cansiter."
Another member who claims to be working on TF3 stated:
"Hi guys, I'm working on this production. Yes, we will be filming scenes when the RSS is rotated back. Discovery and the autobots offer advise and assistance to each other in one scene. "
So Discovery is a transformer and speaks??? If the info is right I guess we're getting maybe a new seeker?
