NASASpaceFlight.com has posted an update on the status of the upcoming Discovery Space shuttle launch (from Kennedy Space Center in Florida), including some info on a possible role that the shuttle may have in Transformers 3. Here is an excerpt.
Regardless, flashes and bangs of a different nature can be expected at the pad over the coming days, as movie crews film scenes for the Hollywood blockbuster Transformers 3, with Saturday processing information noting work to support filming should proceed as planned over this weekend.
Scenes are expected to be shot at Pad 39A on Wednesday – understood to be timed with Discovery being on show with the RSS retracted, meaning the Shuttle may gain herself some credits in the movie.
Hundreds of extras have received security clearance to be in the grounds of KSC during the filming, while Cape Canaveral sources noted Atlas and Delta resources will also be involved in some scenes. Director Michael Bay had previously filmed at KSC during the making of Armageddon – which involved scenes with Atlantis and Endeavour.

It'd be neat if this was Omega. Be fun to have a big Autobot to counter Devi.

All could be possibilities...... I'd almost have to agree with Dinobot747 and say Astrotrain perhaps cause the autobots are slowly running out of Decepticons to kill off. But I would be happy with any one of the three Omega, Sky-links, or Astrotrain.

I'd be happy with Astrotrain as well as long as they have him turn into a cybertronian mobile transport of some kind also to actually make him a beliveable triplechanger

I'd say Sky-Lynx, but that would be too far epic & awesome.
Plus, when the reality (once again) sets in that namesakes don't quite show up in the movie-verse as character-loving-fans envision, it wouldn't end up being that deep down want so much.
Still, I'd still recommend they run with it.
But doubtful it's Sky-Lynx.
Probably just something happening out in space, and folks aboard the shuttle see it happen, for camera effect.

Shuttle Atlantis... Combiner in the scale and size like Devastator would be a nice toy.
Obiter = Silverbolt
SRB\EFT = Omega Supreme

Sky Linx stinx. >_<
A shuttle that turns into a winged "thing" and a blue/red box that turns into a four legged "thing", wow, how exciting. And he's suppose one character? Talk about split personality psychological messes!
And he was a jerk on the cartoon too. Sky Stinx indeed.
(all with a wink and a grin btw, don't get upset)
