while searching the net for concept art, i came accross a blog called http://badflipblog.blogspot.com/ the artist who's name is ken has worked of TF before. he worked on the TF game & the movie, he helped design some of the robots.
i ended up checking his website- http://www.badflip.com/gallery.php
and found concept images for the armored truck, that we have seen on set of TF3.
could they have used his work??

is it shockwave??

This is not Shockwave, this is Payload. He and his drones were featured in Transformers: The Game (the first movie's game) in 2007. He was also released as a deluxe class figure at about the same time of the game's release (I have him, he's awesome). He and his drones also appear in the ROTF video game, but instead they are yellow versions of ROTF Long Haul. The voyager class of the new version is out now.
As for Shockwave, we have seen a model of a 'bot face that appears to be Shockwave's, having one eye and no real face. The alt mode is unknown.
As for the TF3 armored truck, we have no idea. It is very similar to the first movie's Payload, but we can't know for sure who he is. Just wait for next summer to come around.

I doubt they'd re-use his design for the movie, despite Hasbro being able to re-release him.

Yeah good ol' 2007 Payload. I like the figure but that claw feature kills it for me with the way it sticks out so far and he ended up being among those sold in a figure cull I did a while back to free up shelf space for newer figures.

Yeah the claw could've been shortened a bit. It looks like he's impaled in the back with a giant pole.

Same with mine. He was cool, but that claw thing just wasn't working for me.

Aside from that, 'member how butthurt everyone was over the lens heads in 07, and now everyone salivates at Shockwave being a lens head? ha ha, fans. I liked the lens head design back then, so I'm cool with it now, but lol.
