How could they have happened? Skyfire being trapped in ice is one thing but Megatron. I hope there isn't a scene where cute little humans start taking pictures with him frozen.

True, but the prequel comics does a better job of explaining how he got frozen.

The prequel comics from IDW explain what the deal is with Popsicletron.

They're not that bad. Once you get used to the bot modes. (still wish they looked like g1 a little bit)

Ok, im up for a spoiler. Can someone PM me and tell me why Megs is frozen? I dont want to know how he gets unfroze though so keep that to yourself or i will hunt you down and gut you!!

Megatron searched the cosmos for the Allspark after the Autobots shot it into space in an attempt to keep it away from the Decepticons.

He tracked the Allspark to Earth, more specifical the Arctic. When he landed in the Arctic his body was still extremely hot from entering Earth's atmosphere but he also weighs many, many tons. Landing on not so thick ice with those conditions caused Megatron to fall through the ice. Before he could react his internal system were already shutting down because of the extreme temperture change.

He was found by Sam/Spike's great great grandfather in the late 1800's.

I think the his trip down from space drained his energon too... Just another factor to consider...

clever...but you would think that megatron would be aware of the dangers....

he might know of the dangers because they have never visited earth before so they dont know what to expect.

I think the fact that he's frozen by earth ice forshadows his downfall being caused by a human. He always thought he would die on Cybertron, by a Cybertronian, but he meets his end by a human, a race Cybertronians thought as inferior and weak. That's the ultimate irony, and a fitting end to a cruel tyrant.

read the comics. he says that while he knows his energy reserves are depleting he doesnt care. all he cares about is the allspark. he is so blinded by being so close to the allspark, that he doesnt check his surroundings before he lands. and once he's touched down, its too late, power reserves failing, and superheated from entry in the atmosphere, he melts through the ice and goes into stasis lock in the freezing waters.
