Would Bay have the guts/patience to introduce a citybot?

I was just thinking, in RoTF he went to Devastator, who's probably the biggest gestalt (or close), and decided to enlarge his CGI scale. I wonder, since Unicron is pretty much impossible on a realistic scale, CGI-wise, would he dare to take the next step and introduce Metroplex or Trypticon maybe? (I am a comics fan and I never really thought of Maximus or Scorponok as citybots, but Scorponok is DQ'd anyway)

Yeah I actually think this is something Bay would consider. I wouldn't put it past him if he put Metroplex or Fort Max in there.

Before even filming started of TF3, Bay said that it won't be bigger than ROTF in terms of scale. So I guess we're getting more but normal size robots this time.

Yeah, I knew there wasn't going to be anything big, I was just speculating.

But it would eb fun to see Metroplex, even if in just passing, like in a flashback or something.

I don't know if Bay would have the guts to do it... from what little I know about the guy, I would seriously doubt it. But it would be awesome if like Metroplex was shown in a flashback, and then that would leave the fans to wonder: would it be still around? Some "food for thought" so to speak...

I doubt it. Think about it. The movie transformers scan to gain their alternate modes. Unless a gigantic Transformer decided to scan a factory, statdium, or battle station I don't see it happening. I could however see somethin the size of a mobile shuttle launcher being done as Omega Supreme. Now that would be awesome.

I don't think so. I think it would be too complicated really, and it would require some sort of exposition, and the movies aren't real big fans of that kind of thing. Plus some bot would have had to scan something that big like Neo Tallgese said, and honestly as cool as a basebot would be, I think the time and effort devoted to its explaination is just too many minutes taken away from explosions and Shia mugging for the camera and stuttering to be justifiable to the film team.

A citybot wouldn't just be difficult to introduce, it would be darn difficult to fit in. As it's a city-bot, it would have to transform at least into A huge base, Cybertronian castle or some sort of mechanical building. Then, in addition, something that massive would have to enter with a lot of commotion or a notice. 'cause a meteor the size of or even bigger than WTC Twin towers would be noticed anyhow: a giant crater and massive earthquakes or humongous tidalwaves. In short: a citybot simply wouldn't fit.

Another thought is would it be Autobot or Decepticon. If Autobot how would it fit the movie for the Autobot team to have such a powerful member. If it's a Decepticon, then how would the Autobots defeat it without taking away from the plot of the movie.

I don't think it would work for the reasons stated above. In fact I think Unicron would be easier to pull off than a citybot. At least he could stay in space and not directly interact with anything.

Isn't that the fun in it all? Seeing how the characters work out in the plot?

Unless he tries to hug the Moon.

True my ftiend, and if it was a smooth work out then I could live with it. I just wouldn't want it to feel forced. I could see an example where the Autobots were put into a position where they needed to space travel and a member of the team had to scan something like a Space Shuttle transport station. I think that would be a cool way to introduce Omega Supreme.

Ahh...my thoughts exactly. I would love to see Omega Supreme return, since he's only shown up twice.
