What is the point in talking about something that is still 6 or 7 months away.

Yeah I can understand to talk about something such as a new trailer or release of new info either regarding Prime or DOTM.

But I see no point in talking about something that still far away. Yes I love Transformers but I also have other things in 2011 to keep me occupied mainly new games biggest year ever for games this year.

Also new movies besides DOTM this is comic book geek heaven this year oh year + Conan.

Also cool new anime coming out this year + we dont know what is waiting for us for the rest of 2011 and beyond.

I do know what some of them are. they are some new shows such as Battlestar Galatica - Blood & Chrome, a new CGI Green Latern and also the CGI Thundercats.

So you can see there is plenty for 2011 were I am not worried about DOTM but I do want it more than anything. But it is a long time a way still almost 6 or so months.

But Prime is almost here again. But like I said still pointless to talk about Prime until we get to watching Prime good. I look forward to Prime's return it looks awesome I cant wait to see the new stories for Prime and the new Characters.

I think Bay is awesome he admits the faults of ROTF while many other directors out there will not even dicuss the failure of thier films this is why i like Mr. Bay.

ROTF was a good flick but it was flawed, but it still a good action flick and a good movie to watch. I enjoyed both films but I hope DOTM does better and makes us forget the dorkyness of ROTF.

I look forward to 2011 there is no telling what is instore for us what kind of new suprises await us. What is instore for the future of Transformers.

Hey, C'mon, after a 25 year wait? That's a quarter of a century! The anticipation will build up enough to have it talked about, don't you think?

AND consider that it's not just Dire Straits graphics, the DUDE who made us wait for Starwars until he could get the tech together to make it look awesome is the one making the bots come alive!

AND, although it's been said that the films aren't made for the fanbase, it's the Fanbase who will get the general public talking about it all. That's our job right now, within the natural pecking order of things, to create a buzz over the next 2-3 months until Entertainment Tonight takes over for us.

AND for every one visible poster there are 30 lurking visitors and non posting members to this forum (who should jump in and have some fun, already!!!!!!) who are expecting us to talk about something so they can read it.

(And this number will increase as the films' debut date grows nearer, especially if they find interesting things being spoken about whenever they stop by).

AND because it's recreational.

And because you're not a true fan unless you talk about it 6-7 months before it happens...just kidding

Oh, and everyone has things to do and plan for every year. This year one of those things happens to be the arrival of the third instalment of the first Transformers trilogy. The lot of us have spent the last 6-12 months yabbering on about it, why should we all suddenly put up a wall of silence now?

(And the Movieverse is better than Prime, anyway, at least right now.)

and because this will only happen once.

oh, and because that's why we became members of this place.

and because altho some people will blindly love (or hate) anything Transformers, others will need convincing here and there, which is what discussion can be a perfect solution for.

I just like to talk about things mentioned on sites like if the mention stuff about DOTM or show new trailers for the film.

Or show new stuff concerning Prime. I am lookin forward to Prime and DOTM this year look forward to see Prime mature and grow and see what kind of new story lines are instore for Prime and also what kind of new Transformers will be introduced.

But for now I will just talk about stuff if something is shown on a site i go to or something I come across if I think it will be newsworthy to post up about for now I will just wait for the next news concerning Prime or DOTM.

Errr... That was Lucas with Star Wars, and TF3 "only" has Steven Spielberg. Not to mention that the classic Star Wars trilogy looked waaaaaaaaaay better with its small-scale modells than the CG-filled prequel trilogy. With every CG-"improvement", the classic trilogy only gained poopy scenes - the sarlaccs' beak, the jumping animals in Mos Eisley, or the pixelated Jabba in ep. 4 - there was no need for them, while some scenes, like Luke building his lightsaber in ep. 6 or the Anchorhead scene is still missing.

I agree with all this completely, especially that the older films look better (and the actors healthier and more vibrant IMO), but avoided it. Was just trying to say that it's the latest of ILM capability that is putting the TF3 bots together, and that ILM is the result of a decades long personal goal of Lucas, available to our 25 year long wait of "I wonder if they'll ever make a film about these guys" (the TFs)..

...unless I've just embarassed myself...I was under the impression ILM was sole property of Lucas. I never considered he may have partners or it may not be his company at all.
