As everyone knows the Apollo 11 lunar landing was faked, at least that's what conspiracy theorist would have you believe. Conspiracy theories have been swirling ever since Armstrong and Aldrin made that historic leap for mankind, and now Transformers DOTM looks to add it's own unique twist to the moon mythos. DOTM producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently spoke to news.com.au about moon conspiracy theories the new spin DOTM will be putting on the Apollo 11 landing.

"We give you a whole new reason why the moon landing actually did happen," says Lorenzo di Bonaventura, producer of the Transformers movies.

"Everyone was right. The conspiracy existed. It was just a different one than people thought."

I never would have guessed that from the teaser trailer...

I think the point to be taken away from this is they went to the moon because of the Ark, it's not just an accidental discovery.

Exactly. either they tracked the crash as it happened, or somehow picked up some kind of signal on the moon.

Really? We didn't know that the Apollo moon landing was actually to take a little look in Sentinel Prime's shower! I'm pretty sure we got that from the very first teaser.

I'm sorry, but anyone with half a brain would have understood the moon landing in the movie would have a twist to it. I personally didn't need Lorenzo to tell me this.
