None taken. Though I tend to think whining about the designs is a little silly I can understand people disliking Devestator since it was radically different than his G1 version (more monsterous and less humanoid).
Still, more combiners would be nice.

Heheh, actually, I'm not so much against ROTF Devastator's design as much as the way he was shown in the movie. He looks every bit like his namesake, and his lumbering gait is spot on for a massive machine of that size. Not crazy about his design, but I don't hate it either. Personally, I don't like the idea of him sucking sand as an attack method. While it makes sense to just suck everything into a grinder than to swat a minuscule enemy with oversized hands, for some reason it just didn't translate well on screen for me.
Maybe I'm just traditional, but I'd like to see him pounding at the ground with his fists while the Twins transform between alt and bot mode with Simmons and Leo clambering on their shoulders, trying to avoid Devastator. IMO, that would have been more visually spectacular, if less than original.
That said, I am a fan of combiners, and I'd be ready to give the Bayverse designers another chance, seeing how good the DOTM trailer is looking.
Offhandedly speaking, I'm never against different designs. I don't dislike a design because it's different; I only dislike a design because...well, I don't like it. In fact, one of my favorite TF figures in the ROTF line is deluxe Rampage. Totally love the crab/centaur look of the toy, but didn't like his snake look in the film--too impractical and ungainly, IMO.
