With shockwave bringing forth the decepticon army from cybertron and Devastator destroyed,is there a possible chance that the combaticons/bruticus will be in the next movie? I mean i heard the return of brawl in Deep-desert Form

I don't think Bruticus will be in DOTM. Brawl could be as a clone, but it's doubtful.

No offense to the fans of ROTF Devastator, but after what they did to him in ROTF, even if they DID bring Bruticus into DOTM, I'm not sure how he's gonna look.

None taken. Though I tend to think whining about the designs is a little silly I can understand people disliking Devestator since it was radically different than his G1 version (more monsterous and less humanoid).

Still, more combiners would be nice. ;)

Well, at this point i don't believe we know for sure that that is in fact Deep Desert Brawl, but mearly a bot that looks simular to him. Maybe even just used as a "filler" spot for the trailers.

Though i'd love to see DDB. Always like that color sceme more than his green camo version.

Heheh, actually, I'm not so much against ROTF Devastator's design as much as the way he was shown in the movie. He looks every bit like his namesake, and his lumbering gait is spot on for a massive machine of that size. Not crazy about his design, but I don't hate it either. Personally, I don't like the idea of him sucking sand as an attack method. While it makes sense to just suck everything into a grinder than to swat a minuscule enemy with oversized hands, for some reason it just didn't translate well on screen for me.

Maybe I'm just traditional, but I'd like to see him pounding at the ground with his fists while the Twins transform between alt and bot mode with Simmons and Leo clambering on their shoulders, trying to avoid Devastator. IMO, that would have been more visually spectacular, if less than original.

That said, I am a fan of combiners, and I'd be ready to give the Bayverse designers another chance, seeing how good the DOTM trailer is looking.

Offhandedly speaking, I'm never against different designs. I don't dislike a design because it's different; I only dislike a design because...well, I don't like it. In fact, one of my favorite TF figures in the ROTF line is deluxe Rampage. Totally love the crab/centaur look of the toy, but didn't like his snake look in the film--too impractical and ungainly, IMO.

Now me, I would have taken that idea and ran with it. In this one videogame I love the hero's starship has a main gun that shoots liquid metal at other ships. Mind you it does this with powerful electromagnets so it's a stream of burning hot death screaming at you at 5% the speed of light.

Imagine Devestator with something like that? He sucks everything into his maw with that vacuum dealie, melts it down, then uses an electromagnetic excellerator to spew molten death at everything in his path. Would be a) awesome and b) play up the "villian's pet monster/dragon" role he seemed to fill in the movie.

I am also hoping for a couple of surprises, if not combiners. I really would have liked to see Tidal Wave make an appearance as an aircraft carrier, and be the "big guy" of the movie, but it looks like that will go to Silverbolt, being a huge space shuttle and all.

As for Devastator, I was excited to see him, and even liked him in the movie. I didn't care that he couldn't stand straight up or that he didn't talk. But the ballz. The ballz were one of the main negatives of the movie among the many minor ones.

Still, if I could have one combiner in DotM I'd love to see Predaking, even though that'll be impossible.

Wait, what? Space shuttle?

Presuming Silverbolt wasn't part of the misinformation campaign,(along with Shockwave as the main villain, the Ferrari being a Decepticon and the Mercedes being Carly's car)there may be a chance of him showing up as one of Sentinel's mooks brought in by the Space Bridge.

That might be true. It also might be true that the shuttle part was part of the misinformation, but there will be an Autobot named Silverbolt and also an Autobot space shuttle, most likely with which the "good Autobots" leave, at least temporarily. So it's just putting 2+2 together. I would supply photos/other sources, but it seems I can't find any. :? Like you said, might be just misinformation on one or the other. But I doubt both. 1 has to be true.

they didn't ruin him, he was awesome in ROTF but the balls were just stupid, everything else just kicked ass

I also think that Devastator was awesome. I didn't mind the balls either, it was a quite funny joke the first time.

However, he deserved to be much more powerful. What a shame to see him killed by a stupid rail-gun. It would be much nicer to see him defeated by the combined effort of (almost) all autobots working as a team.

Honestly, I like your idea. My only problem with him was that he had only one form of attack [sand sucking], and none of his scenes really showcased his immense strength. It would have looked far more awesome if he pounded on the pyramid and tore it to pieces to reveal the solar harvester instead of simply climbing to the top and pushing off the tip.

Actually, I don't hate his design, but his lack of more aggressive attacks in the scenes he appeared in. I explained this in my earlier correspondence with Capt.Failure.

The Cybertronian Space Shuttle seen in the trailer is the one that Sideswipe and the others arrived in. The Wreckers have the job of fixing it.

I'd like to see Omega Supreme in this one. Bruticus was my favorite Decepticon combiner because of his voice. But I don't expect to see him. I'm fine with Devastator coming back, he didn't get destroyed in ROTF, if they don't make him an ape again. Think they Aerialbots will be in this one and make their big guy- Superion right?
