The good folks at everyone’s favorite testosterone-charged magazine Maxim have been kind enough to send us a preview of their upcoming, 11th annual Top 100 list. The list is compiled based on feedback from the magazine’s editors and, of course, is purely subjective. But, based on their opinions of this year’s crop of smoking hot actresses, musicians, athletes, spies, etc., they’ve chosen Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon’s fresh-faced (and pouty-lipped) cast member Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as their top pick for the year. Rosie, who plays Carly in this latest and supposedly last edition of the Michael Bay Transformers films, took of the roll of female eye candy in the Bay-verse when Megan Fox (#17 on this year's list) was abruptly replaced just before filming last year. She tops a list of some pretty heavy hitter in the world of entertainment and sports, besting Olivia Munn, Katy Perry, Cameron Diaz, Mila Kunis, Bar Refaeli, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Cobie Smulders, and Jennifer Lawrence who round out the top 10.

In their brief description of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the top ten preview, they say:

All hail Maxim’s new queen! When we first heard rumblings of a Megan Fox replacement in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, we wept into our Optimus Prime pillows for weeks. As it turns out, director Michael Bay found someone even foxier.

They go on to explain the reason for their choice and quote Rosie about being their top pick:

Topping the list this year are six models, seven artists from three musical genres, six stars of the ring, three Mad [wo] Men, one Kardashian, one Princess, one Russian spy and one number one: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, star of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Huntingon-Whiteley tells Maxim that being named number one “is a huge honor. It’s a great title to have for a year and you can have some fun with it, I think.”

Maxim Editor in Chief, Joe Levy said, “Rosie is a true transformer – a VS stunner who is about to go supernova when she takes over for Megan Fox in the Transformers franchise – her talent is as undeniable as her beauty, which is pretty jaw-droppingly undeniable.”

Whether you agree or disagree with the choice, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is definitely getting a lot a buzz as the release of the new Transformers film gets closer. You can be sure of one thing; as long as she doesn’t totally bomb in this film, she’ll probably be someone you’ll see even more of in the near future.

The Top 100 edition of Maxim magazine will be available on newsstands and iTunes on May 10.

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon hits theaters July 1.

While I loved Beau Garrett in Tron: Legacy who's further down on the list, that photo's pretty convincing. Hopefully she won't totally fail as an actor.

Oh, who am I kidding, as long as she looks hot and there's tons of robot action in the next movie, her acting skills are irrelavent.

I'm sorry, but she has a major butterface. As soon as I saw the Trailer for the movie I just saw her souless, expressionless face with a hint of "Special" and already knew I wasn't gonna like her in this movie.

Mfox may have started becoming a Movie queen, but I'd much rather see her tow thumbs then this girl's face.


This is like replacing Katie Holmes with Maggie G, It just doesn't work. The first person was better looking, now I have to wonder, why would sam give up Megan for Rosie? Blah I think this is the only mistake MBay made for this movie.

I don't think she should top that list. I don't like her face. Her eyes are squinty which makes her look like she's continually baked, and she has a big nose and weird lips. At least she doesn't look as scrawny as she did when they first cast her.

I'm gay and all so I certianly hope she's a good actor. I can't be distracted by boobs like you guys.

Obviously, if she was in the same room with us, we wouldn't be complaining. However there is no way she tops some of those other hotties. I assume the only reason she made the top of the list is she must have some big summer blockbuster movie coming out. But what??? Hmmm

@RodimalToyota. You have ruined it for me. I did not know that about Megan having "tow thumbs". Heck I have never heard the term before until now. I have seen women with thumbs like that but I didn't know what it was. I just found a picture online of Megan's thumb, and now suddenly... she's not so hot anymore. I already hated bunions now I have a new name for another dislike. Peace.

No way. She isn't ugly but she isn't top 100 at all. She's not even top 500. Definitely not no. 1 either. You made a big mistake bay.

She has that peculiar type of look about her, sometimes she looks drop-dead stunningly gorgeous, other times not quite attractive at all. I think it depends on her facial expression and camera angle.

Regardless, I would most def. consider her attractive, tho maybe not #1 on Maxim's list. She seems to be pretty level-headed IRL, I hope she can carry her character in the movie.

Looks like Maxim and DOTM will be getting some cross-publicity out of this.

Heh, reminds me of the epsiode of "Archer" where Lana is getting guys to have revenge sex with, and an openly-gay character is in line for a turn. Someone asks him why, since he's gay, and he answers, "Nobody's that gay."

Remember guys, EVERYBODY has a different viewpoint of what is attractive just like everyone has a different idea of what music is good and what isn't and the same goes for books, movies etc.
Personally I thought 90 percent of the girls on that list (and yes I looked at ALL 100 of 'em) should have been scratched from the list because I find absolutely nothing attractive about anorexic stick girls. I'm skinny myself and the thought of "scoring" with a skinny girl...well, you know what happens when you rub 2 sticks together really fast. No Thanks, Not Happening!

I do however find Rosie to be more attractive than Megan but I think a lot of what has contributed to Megan's "ugliness" in the past few years is her attitude off-screen and how she handled herself on-screen. Looks aren't the only thing contributing to what makes a person "attractive" as far as I'm concerned. We'll see how well Rosie does on-screen and throughout all the interviews and then I think a final determination can be made.
