Transformers 3 - Dark of The Moon, Kick ass?

Ok ok I know I don't post on here often but with great interest I have been reading all about the new transformers movie - in particular on michaelbay.com where you cannot register. That does not mean that I am not happy posting on here but there is something that I must get off my chest. Perhaps this will make me feel a whole lot better who knows, but I for one am over the moon (no pun intended) that the final count down to the movies release is upon us.

Now there is always a BUT.....You see what I cannot understand and again this maybe a personal preference; The Autobots again in some shape or form will take a pounding with no one coming to their rescue. The Cons will have Shockwave his minions and Con Drowns. Now in my mind and to spice things up I think it is about time that the autobots introduce their own kick-assery and the only bot who in my mind 'kicks butt' is GRIMLOCK, so why or why hasn't bay introduced some autobot kick ass. Yes okay, the Wreckers are in the movie, but come on I for one sure think any kind of team to call when your in the shy-ne-hole is the DINOBOTS and not the WRECKERS as to me the DINOBOTS make the WRECKERS look like something out of KINDER GARDEN. I mean I am not G1 all the way but for F sake surely for sure Michael Bay could have chosen some other auto type strike team. I suppose in a way I am a little disappointed to say the least the GRIMLOCK would not be in the 3rd instalment as a GRIMLOCK -v- SHOCKWAVE battle would be awesome. I love the films including 2 even though that had some flaws.

So for me, the autos I would also have liked to see would have included Wreck gar, Ultra Magnus Springer and for sure Hot Rod.

Feedback or thoughts? :BOT:

He said he didnt want to put giant robot dinosaurs into his films. I love the dinobots personally but i have to agree...the overall concept is not as cool as it was when i was a child. I mean transformers are supposed to be robots in disguise...where in the world is a giant metal dinosaur a disguise? (same could be said for soundwave, megatron, and the fallen) but they all had some stupid reason for it.

Now if bay did the lightning strike coalition and included the Dynobots from war within...that could have been sweet.

The Wreckers are sort of in-name-only, like all the movie Transformers bar Optimus and Jazz. They're more Nascar Pit-Stop mechanics than a strike force like in G1.
So no, the Dinobots could not replace them, they are unique characters that use a familiar name.

Technically, I think Micheal Bay COULD put the Dinobots in his movie if he really wanted to. Just take a page from TFA. The Allspark gives life to animatronic dinosaurs in a theme park, and Bob's your uncle. And since all of the new lifeforms that were given life on Earth tend to be violent and mindless [in the Bayverse movies, at least], the Dinobots fit right in.

It's most likely a personal thing where he doesn't WANT to have robot dinosaurs in his movie.

Grimlock absolutely could be made to fit into this movie. ROTF showed us that the Transformers can wrap themselves in skin. And as long as you can handle Grimlock not being a T-Rex it could work. You make him some legendary creature that people claim to have seen. He could be a big foot/Sasquatch, he could be the Lochness monster, he could be a gigantic squid. Why did he chose that to be his alt mode? That wouldn't be hard to explain, not that the movie would even need to explain it. You could play off of the Dinobots lake of intelligence as the reason why. You could say he's been here for 1000s of years and took on a creature that once existed...

I would like to see grimlock and the insecticons in this movie.

I always thought Megatron was a cybertronian form because he hated the humans (this theory was killed in DOTM)

As for the Dinobots, they don't seem to be part of the realistic take on Transformers that Bay's doing.
